“Public education in this country needs to be completely re-done. Step one, all decisions on material and teaching standards should be made locally, by teachers, who are the only ones who know what is going on in the classroom. Administrators don't know what is best for a student, the president certainly doesn't know. However, funding must be on all levels, national, state, and local, to reduce the effect of poverty on the quality of education at the local level.”
