Initiative 181 will enable the state to issue $20 million in bonds to establish the Montana Biomedical Research Authority. The authority will oversee and review grant applications for the purpose of promoting the development of therapies and cures for brain diseases and injuries and mental illnesses, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, brain cancer, dementia, traumatic brain injury and stroke.
