Measure T will remove the requirement from the Colorado state constitution that forces criminals to perform free labor in prison. The measure is known as the "Slavery Amendment. Proponents argue that corporation should not be able to profit off of the labor of prisoners. Opponents argue that the work prisoners perform provides structure on their lives and the passage of the amendment would place community volunteer programs that they participate in in jeopardy.
