Measure 1 will automatically register adults over the age of 18 to vote when they apply for their annual permanent fund payment. Adults will have the ability to opt-out of voting registration if the measure passes. Alaskans may currently apply for a permanent fund payment if they have been a resident of the state for one year and have plans to live in the state on a permanent basis.
