Amendment 8 will make Alabama's "right to work" laws a state constitutional amendment. Right-to-work laws give employees the right to work without being required or compelled to join to a union. Unionized companies that exist without right-to-work laws can force employees to join a union in order to gain employment and pay union dues out of their paycheck.
