Rep. Elise Stefanik is returning to a top leadership role in the House Republican caucus after her nomination to be U.N. ambassador was withdrawn.
She will now serve as the chairwoman of House Republican leadership, a position that places her at the forefront of GOP strategy and messaging. Stefanik previously held the role of GOP conference chairwoman and is regaining her committee assignments as well.
Her return signals a continued influential presence in Republican politics as the party gears up for the 2024 elections.
