I oppose government regulation of private enterprise. In the first place, we should not let the federal government control what is right and wrong. That only gives the forces that control the government the excuse and the right to attack opposing factions and stifle speech. However, only if fake news causes clear harm, such as a major accident, or is found to be making false accusations against a specific individual, may the state or federal government still have the authority to regulate it under its own laws.
