下院議員選挙区の仕切り直しは独立の、無所属の委員会にコントロールされるべきだろうか？

現在のところ、下院選挙区割りの選挙区改正は、州議会によって10年ごとに管理されている。ゲリマンダーとは、政党のためになるように選挙区を引き直すことである。それはほとんどの場合、少数党を代表する有権者のいる選挙区を周縁に追いやる目的で、州政党によって実行される。さらなる議席を獲得するために、現在大統領を出している党は、選挙区を引き直して、少数党の有権者がより少ない議席のより小さな選挙区へグループ分けされるようにする。ゲリマンダーを批判する人々は、こうした慣行では、有権者が現職の議員を選ぶのでなく、現職の議員が有権者を選べるようになっていると言う。賛成派は、選挙区の区割りは与党の特権であり、与党の政策や候補者の支持率にほとんど影響を及ぼさないと言う。

It should be done by a non partisan computer generated program that takes into account only the necessary municipal and population to draw a fair district. Political registration numbers shouldn't be available for use in the program

I think a computer program should be implemented at the national level and all districts drawn-up unbiased. Also, all voting times and regulations should be the same throughout the nation.

Gerrymandering should be eliminated. Set the districts once and for all and let them be. If you need to redraw the playing field in order to win you should not be playing the game.

Redrawing of districts should be done by a method that does not allow one political party or another the upper hand.
