A military no man zone between the countries. Armed military units on full alert at all times stationed all along it. Nothing living be allowed to cross. At least not alive

Keep border security the same but make it illegal with more enforcement for hiring illegals and educating them and eliminate access to any healthcare. All the things that they come here for can only be achived through citizenship, a current visa and/or passport.

I live in Texas, and often work along the Border, which has become the Berlin Wall of North America for the legal crossings by families and workers. The red herring is "security." We need to protect ourselves from the narcotrafficantes, who are the danger (not workers and terrorists). Drug reform would end at least a part of the need for security. The river has been there before there was a USA, and I live in what used to be Mexico.

If you heavily prosecute employers who hire illegal immigrants, then those companies will be forced to offer living wages that Americans are wiling to work for or shut down. That's how capitalism works. If illegals can't work, they have no reason to come over the border.

Yes, and remove citizenship by birth when parents are not us citizens or legal immigrants.

No, enforce current laws and punish severely any U.S. company/business that employs illegal immigrants knowingly.

I think we are not actually looking at reasonable ways to control the borders. I dislike the bulk of what I have heard suggested. The current ideas are ONLY about making someone richer.

We are simply a dumping ground for the unwanted . Mexico is one of the most corrupt. The richest man in the world is a mexican---of spanish descent.

No, and make it easier for immigrants to access temporary work visas, but require them to have a job if they came under that agreement, and require employers to give preference to U.S. citizens applying for the same job before hiring immigrants where both are qualified for the job. Also, don't let employers get away with not paying at least minimum wage (raise minimum wage) so that U.S. citizens are more likely to apply for the job too.
