2022 Delegate To The House of Representatives Elections

The Delegate to the House of Representatives is a non-voting member of the United States House of Representatives, who is elected from a U.S. territory or from the District of Columbia. The role of a delegate is similar to that of a Representative, with the…   primary difference being that delegates do not have the right to vote on the floor of the House. However, they can participate in debates, introduce legislation, and vote in committees to which they are assigned.<br /><br />The office of the Delegate to the House of Representatives was created to provide representation for territories and the District of Columbia, which are not considered states and therefore do not have voting members in Congress.
