The recreational use of cannabis has been legalized in 19 U.S. states and Washington D.C. Another 12 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands have decriminalized its use. Commercial distribution of cannabis has been legalized in all jurisdictions where possession has been legalized, except for D.C. Personal cultivation for recreational use is allowed in all of these jurisdictions except for Washington State and New Jersey. Proponents argue that marijuana sales bring in tax revenue for states and cut down on non-violent drug incarcerations. Opponents argue that marijuana is a powerful recreational drug that can lead to addiction and psychosis.

Yes, though I'm against marijuana at the moment, I believe since there's no evidence of it being harmful that those who want to use marijuana should be allowed to do so.
@946Z8NB3yrs3Y
Yes but require it be smoked in private instead of out in public. We should also tax it and still punish for DUI of Marijuana
@93GPJNX3yrs3Y
Yes, but make sure there is ZERO government intervention at any level.
@93FD3BK3yrs3Y
Yes and legalize all drugs, end the war on drugs.
Yes, legalize and regulate marijuana while simultaneously releasing anyone imprisoned solely on marijuana charges
@8Y6HJYZ4yrs4Y
Only if users are barred from public assistance programs.
@8XWDCTQ4yrs4Y
Legalize marijuana for medical use, release those incarcerated for marijuana, expunge felony possession convictions, make marijuana possession an unjailable offense and leave it to the state level as to decide to fine or confiscate marijuana from those without a medical card.
@8XR9LXR4yrs4Y
No, there should be no criminal charges on it unless they are operating machinery, driving or using it in public. It should be regulated exactly like alcohol.
@8V6VQBK4yrs4Y
Yes, for medical use only but it shouldn't be a major source of prison inmates as it currently is.
@8GZ6RG85yrs5Y
Yes, and tax it likes tobacco for recreation use.
@8DSZMV8Independent5yrs5Y
Yes, only for medical use and it must be closely regulated. Also we need to increase funding for treatment of addiction.
@8DFFG885yrs5Y
yes because people are going to do it regardless of it being illegal or not. let cops spend more time dealing with people who are actually putting people in danger.
@8CM985P5yrs5Y
So, I think it should be legal but it does have long term health effects, so it should be talked about and have FDA notices on what it can do. Like tobacco. Also free those in prison and revamp the prison system as a whole--similar to Germany's.
@8CL2ZYG5yrs5Y
No and it. alcohol, and tobacco should all be criminalized at a lower level.
@9C8NDGPLibertarian2yrs2Y
Such decisions should be decided at the county and municipal levels
@9C545VKIndependent2yrs2Y
yes Treat it like the Tobacco and Alcohol Industry with warning labels showing the side effects of it's use
@98G63923yrs3Y
Yes, legalize, tax, and regulate and immediately release anyone serving time solely for drug offenses if they are solely marijuana or a derivative.
@97Y342F3yrs3Y
No, but release hose serving long sentences for marijuana related crimes.
@97HBPRVNatural Law3yrs3Y
Yes. Government needs to stay FAR away from anything that grows naturally on the earth. They have proven they can only corrupt and destroy. More people see this than you even realize.
@944HNSK3yrs3Y
No, but only fines should attach as penalties, not imprisonment
@8S2KSFV4yrs4Y
Yes, if it is done state by state. It should be decriminalized federally and anyone in jail is serving sentences strictly for possession then they should be released.
