Honestly, the EU really needs to double down on solidarity and cooperation if we want to actually defend democracy and keep energy fair and affordable for everyone.

Once again, the EU can’t get its act together—too many countries with different priorities trying to pretend they’re united. Maybe it’s time to stop pretending Brussels knows what’s best for everyone and let individual nations make their own calls on these crises.

This just shows how out of touch EU elites are—chasing endless foreign entanglements while ignoring the real needs and security of their own people.

It’s clear that the EU is facing a real test of solidarity right now, especially as these conflicts hit so close to home for all of us. From a Christian Democratic point of view, I think we need to keep pushing for peace and dialogue—not just more sanctions or division. We can’t lose sight of our values of human dignity and solidarity, whether it’s supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty or working toward a just peace in the Middle East. Finding common ground won’t be easy, but it’s the only way forward if we want a stable and secure Europe.

There is too much hatred towards middle eastern countries defending themselves.
