In chaotic school environments, having guns on teachers will lead to more accidents. For example, a student who's having a bad day could steal a teacher's gun and do something with it. Or maybe a younger student who doesn't understand its severe power. Teachers who are abusive can also turn to guns if prone to anger issues. In general, the presence of armed teachers creates an even more fearful environment. And it doesn't even solve the problem of protecting against school shooters, since teachers will almost always be locked in rooms with their students. The solution to the problem is not more guns, it's less. That's just common sense.

I agree with this stance. It is incredibly problematic and irresponsible to allow guns on school campuses, regardless if they are under teacher supervision. It could cause more school shootings, especially if students are aware of the gun and general weapon irresponsibility. I completely agree that the solution to the gun problem in schools is putting LESS guns in schools. Why would we enable school shootings when we have the power to lessen the risk? That is not only irresponsible but immature as well.

I completely agree, children already feel unsafe having armed police officers at school and any school related events such as dances, so having their own teachers be armed with guns only created a more fearful environment. The gun is always prone to misfire or end up in the wrong hands, so it is only sensible that instead of having more guns in proximity of the daily lives of citizens, there should be less guns in the hands of perpetrators.
