Democracy at its best. The pendulum will swing too far right now but overall I agree with Trump, the government is an overloaded dead elephant carcass. It needs to be torn apart to be repaired. To my liberal colleagues, please let me know your thoughts. Do you remember when they have a government shutdown and suddenly the news show "poor government employees" struggling without money. Then suddenly the government reopens and they announce all these employees get back pay? Essentially, they just got paid time off and we are supposed to feel bad for them? Also the average federal employee makes close to 6 figures or more, for what???

Finally, someone who gets it! JD Vance is right—Trump needs to clean house. The federal government is bloated with people who don’t represent the American public. Get them out!

 @5GXK7SGDemocratfrom Tennessee  disagreed…4wks4W

Firing everyone he disagrees with? That’s not democracy, that’s a purge. We’re supposed to have checks and balances, not a one-man show. This isn’t what the Founders intended!

 @9YN9MN2 from Ohio  commented…4wks4W

A purge is needed , what do we need 8000 new irs agents for ? What is the department of education good for ?

Why do we need more government employees than private sector employees. Go get a job to support your own family and quit collected a taxpayer funded check to sit at a desk and twiddling your thumbs

 @9ZKSS5M from North Carolina  agreed…3wks3W

I agree. Did you ever try to get any help from any state or federal office through a phone call? On the phone forever no one knows anything they give you a million hoops to go through and the departments do not talk to each other. On top of that they move at a snails pace. They know they get paid if they do a good job or not. And you can just wait for them to feel like working to help you.

Again. He cannot fire elected officials only civilian officials. And every president does it.

  @RAMThisUpRepublican  from Nevada  disagreed…4wks4W

He cannot fire elected officials? No, he can't, but Joe, Hillary, and Barrack committed crimes of grievous nature, and that were never prosecuted. Trump was...go figure.

 @9YN9MN2 from Ohio  commented…4wks4W

Too many government employees living free off the sweat of American taxpayers. Make them get jobs in the private sector and stop the government pension handouts to deadbeat government workers

  @RAMThisUpRepublican from Nevada  agreed…4wks4W

I generally agree with your statement, but I don't agree with public service retired personnel. Some people get injured on the job, like police officers or firefighters. One of the cops in my immediate family broke her knee in 5 place and had to have 5 surgeries. She took a medical retirement because she is physically disabled. Is it fair to cut her pension?

Fake polls? Really? Every poll I’ve seen shows Americans don’t support these extreme measures. Vance’s whole argument is based on paranoia and undermining public trust in democracy.

 @9YNM7XM from California  commented…4wks4W

Every poll you've seen? How many? 1? How many Americans? 55/100? What source? One of the plethora of mainstream Democrat-controlled sources biased solidly against Trump? I think the fact that Trump won the popular vote speaks well enough for what policies the majority of people of this country want.

 @9YNM7XM from California  commented…4wks4W

This is his Drain The Swamp movement he talked about in his first campaign, WHICH HE WON because the people wanted it, so now apparently MORE people want it.

 @OutstandingChamoisPeace and Freedomfrom Maine  commented…4wks4W

Mass deportations are what we need! America has enough problems without illegal immigration adding to it. Trump’s not afraid to make the tough decisions, unlike our other politicians.

I’m skeptical. Even if Trump has good intentions, how’s he supposed to get anything done with this ‘fire everyone’ approach? The federal bureaucracy is complex, and it’ll just be chaos.

  @@1876-Elbert from Colorado  commented…4wks4W

He's firing everyone who was appointed because they are 'diverse' and putting in people who are actually good at their job.

 @9ZDM97W from Florida  disagreed…3wks3W

Trump has good intentions

Good intentions? Please, check your facts.

 @9YN9MN2 from Ohio  commented…4wks4W

It's already chaos and corrupt to the core. If your small business was a failure , as our govt is , you would fire everyone and start over

 @UncommonL3ftLeaningUnity from Texas  commented…4wks4W

This interview is terrifying. Imagine living in a country where the president can mass fire people in government and remove people he doesn’t like. That’s dictatorship, not democracy.

 @IndependenceDovesCentre-Right from Texas  disagreed…4wks4W

Maybe it sounds extreme, but if you’re in small-town America, you get why people want change. The system isn’t working, and Vance isn’t afraid to say it. At least Trump is trying to fix things.

That is democracy. He cannot fire elected officials only civilians. It changes every 4 yrs. He and all presidents have to have people they can count on and trust.
