White House News Photographers Association president said Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign team has engaged in an "unprecedented reduction in access" to the news media, according to an Aug. 28 letter from the association (WHNPA) to the Harris team obtained by Axios.
It adds to a growing frustration among the press corps about limiting access to leaders at the top of the Democratic Party.
That includes Harris, who has yet to do a solo TV interview and has avoided unscripted moments since she entered the race on July 21.
Jessica Koscielniak, president of the WHNPA, wrote to Harris' top aides last month protesting that "the four independent news photographer seats have been downgraded to one."
Koscielniak added: "The WHNPA strongly calls on the Harris campaign to reconsider the number of media seats allowed on Air Force 2."
The WHNPA wrote that the group heard the number of seats had to be reduced for security reasons and proposed either adding a "chaser plane" for additional media or the White House Correspondent Association (WHCA) reorganizing who gets a seat.

Not sure when the Media will catch up—> this is not your father’s campaign, but do keep bending over backwards for the lying, conspiracy amplifying convicted felon
Come on! Reduced photographers from 13 to 9? Why is that a problem? She didn't reduce it to 2! Seems like this is a yawner of a story!
Boohoo. We know who is important here and it’s not the candidate. It’s the Photographer’s Association. Let’s focus who is most important - we know who that is because they keep telling us - the press. If they actually did their jobs, doing the hard work, we’d be better off.

The main stream media is floundering and there are other means to communicate with the public in word and image than the tired old WH correspondents' and photographers' associations. There is no benefit in this time of "giving away" clicks or impressions to traditional media
So they acknowledge that they still have press/photographers, just not as much as they want. Also that those seats were taken by extra security. No that was doubt boosted after the attempt on Trump. So they want a whole other plane of them ("chaser plane") Yeah, no.
Media has to reprove themselves. Continue to whine like entitled children and wield your power in vengeance (looking at you NYT and Politico) and you'll continue to be shunned.
Are we just forgetting that Trump only allowed reporters who were nice to him into the WH briefings. Or that he just stopped doing them altogether at the end…Perhaps this media bias is why she is so hesitant.
