One political consequence is puts an end to Netanyahu's (and Israel's) fallback position: that alienating Biden/Dems won't matter because they'll have Trump soon.

Not quite and not exactly. Trump is too erratic and self serving to be held to this throwaway remark. Were I Netanyahu, I would assume that a president Trump could be easily manipulated and wouldn’t hold to this view, anymore than he held to supporting universal health ins.

Sure, but Trump is guided by public opinion. I don't think the non-college whites who are his base are super into Israel (aside from the minority of Christian Zionists). The inward turn of American opinion is widespread.

The evangelical whites are the base of the base and they are very much into Israel. He says all kinds of **** all the time. Yes, maybe his Saudi buddies have told him that Israel has to wrap this up fast, but he is much easier for BN to handle than an increasingly pressured Biden
