Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Monday the state will continue installing razor wire at the U.S.-Mexico border, despite the Supreme Court ruling allowing the Biden administration to remove it.
The Republican-led state has been pressuring the federal government to help secure the U.S. border with Mexico and as they say they're defending states from a border "invasion" in the face of a record number of migrants arriving.
What he's saying: "We are putting up wire ... everywhere we can. We will continue. We will not stop," Patrick told Fox News' The Story with Martha MacCallum" on Monday.
"If they cut it, we will replace it," he continued."I was down there Friday with our troops to thank them, support them, and also to stand with them in the event the Biden administration did send Border Patrol there," Patrick said. "Wisely, they did not. We're thankful they did not. We don't want a confrontation, but we want this border secure."Representatives for the Biden administration did not immediately respond to Axios' requests for comment.
Peter Doocy asked why Biden is making it easier for illegal immigrants to cross the border...
John Kirby said Texas' razor wire made it tough for Border Patrol to 'do their job.'
The Biden admin thinks you're stupid.

Never forget, John Kirby is the same man who said he saw "no chaos" in our disastrous Afghanistan departure which left 13 service members dead, 160 civilians maimed and our allies abandoned. Americans and Afghanis were beheaded and shot left in the Taliban's hands. People were hanging off of planes, our service members were placed in a no-win situation at the worst location possible with their hands tied. But sure, Mr. Kirby, whatever you say.

Trump freed 5,000 Taliban prisoners and cut a deal w/the Taliban, leaving the Afghan govt out of the negotiations. Trump then withdrew almost all of the American troops. Bold is on Trump's tiny, tiny hands.
When the Federal government fails to fulfill its responsibilities, states have no choice but to step in.
Abbott is doing a good job.
Biden's hypocrisy knows no bounds. This exposes his lies.
@BurritosRoyRepublican3mos3MO
It just amazes me Biden tries to tell everyone the border is secure and then sues Texas for trying to make it secure. I wish the Democrats would just come clean and say, yes we welcome the millions of uneducated migrants into this Country instead of feeding us the bull manure that the border is secure.
@9CJ6CB63mos3MO
The border just isn’t open, that’s something that’s been proven, and the way Texas does it is both extremely unethical and dangerous. If we have to use literal razor wire to keep people from trying to live in America, then I think our problems come from the history of our relations with the rest of the Western Hemisphere rather than the migrants themselves.
Gov. Greg Abbott is a hero, and a political genius. Now Biden must let Texas control this stretch of its border, or be seen, in an election year and amid a border crisis, trying to stop Texas from doing what he won't do: control our southern border.
@HumanRightsClaraRepublican3mos3MO
Thank you Texas. I lived in Venezuela 5 years under Chavez so know these so called 'asylum refugees' very well. Almost all voted for Chavez in the first place plus they do not have a culture of work, only how to live off the free benefits. All have mobiles and have been prepped what to say. Please note that crime has recently gone down in Venezuela to levels not seen in decades. Guess why?
@ExuberantSalamiSocialist3mos3MO
Next time you get your lawn mowed, hotel cleaned, order fast food, or have someone else doing a dirty job, let them know you think this way.
@9JJ2W5Q3mos3MO
I think that the state of texas is trying to be indepentent
@Patriot-#1776Constitution3mos3MO
and well it should – its interests are no longer represented in this union and it has every constitutional right to secede for any reason
I think the border is completely unnecessary.
@9JJ5C4QRepublican3mos3MO
Illegal immigration needs to be stopped.
@9JJ7CF83mos3MO
they need to build a border and keep the cartel out of our country just so Joe Biden can get more votes.
@9JJ5ZJD3mos3MO
Not good to keep those fleeing from evil away.
@9JHP67YRepublican3mos3MO
it actual means something to this country so it would matter most
@9JJ43CTPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
I think that Texas is dumb and is picking a fight they can’t win
@9JHW4693mos3MO
Props to Texas for getting the job done themselves.
@9JHV77W3mos3MO
Close the border now, let Texas do there thing.
@9JHWG7YPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
I believe Texas is doing very risky business against its own country and people.
@9JHZJ4J3mos3MO
I want Kanye West to be President
@9JHYSCPRepublican3mos3MO
I think that its good because people are coming over the boarder illegally and brining disease and drugs into the country
@9JHYHV23mos3MO
It's inhumane to mangle someone like that.
@9JHRVB4Republican3mos3MO
I believe that if the government won't protect the border, it is up to the people. And if they want to tear it down, we can keep putting it back up.
@9JHWDBWRepublican3mos3MO
I think that Texas should be able to defend its state border if the Federal government can’t/ wont.
@eXecutiveAvaLibertarian3mos3MO
The feds have no preemptive authority to preclude state or local control of its land within the border of the US. If the feds want to access the park for immigration control, they can buy it or condemn it thru eminent domain. After going thru requisite legal proceedings, environmental impact statements and court challenges. THANK YOU Governor Abbott for doing what slow Joe is incapable of (controlling the US borders and defending the Constitution from the malfeasance of the Biden administration).
@9JHVL4LIndependence3mos3MO
i think they in the right for this no cap
