We shouldn't be involved as much as we are.

While it's understandable to want to limit involvement considering the complexities and potential risks, it's also worth noting the historical significance of the US-Israel relationship. For instance, the US has played a vital role in mediating peace deals, like the Camp David Accords in 1978. Tensions in the Middle East often have global implications, impacting everything from oil prices to security dynamics. Therefore, would completely stepping back not risk destabilizing the region further, potentially leading to even graver global consequences? I'd love to hear your thoughts on how we could strike a balance.

That's an interesting point. For instance, if we look back at the Vietnam War, we can see that the extensive involvement of the United States didn't necessarily lead to a desirable outcome. Despite the heavy investment in terms of resources and human life, the conflict ended with the establishment of a communist government in Vietnam, not the democratic one the U.S. had been backing. This historical example could suggest that heavy involvement doesn't always guarantee the result one might hope for. What's your take on how a balance could be achieved between non-interference and necessary intervention?

we should not have sided with Israel. Pakistan needs our assistance and people are in danger.

War in Israel could be the start of many countries going into war and fighting over the small country.

It’s very heartbreaking as our first-world country is doing nothing to help them despite the amount of money we have put into our military and our ability to help them.

 @9G4W22T from Idaho commented…7mos7MO

I think we need to be careful in getting involved. If the cards aren't played right then we could have a devastating war on our hands.

 @9G4VXKG from Idaho commented…7mos7MO

I think that the Hamas should not have done this, that Israel has one of the most powerful forces and were caught off guard and not ready for this attack. So they could not do anything.

I don't agree with Israel's attacks on Palestine, but Hamas attacked first this time so Israel is acting out of defense.

 @9G4Y5C8 from Virginia commented…7mos7MO

The U.S government should take careful diplomatic action to regain it's hostages and try the Hamas leaders in international court, I often reject the idea of military intervention, but I do believe, if all else fails, that the military should be used to ensure the safety of the hostages, armies of Israel and Palestine, and even Hamas who are not as dedicated to such violence.

 @9G4Y22HRepublican from Idaho commented…7mos7MO

We should be backing up Israel and helping protect them from any other attacks from other countries.

 @9G4Y86D from Illinois commented…7mos7MO

I am not supportive of the US military industrial complex. The US should not be involved in so many foreign affairs and funds Israel to have a foot in the door of control in the Middle East. Our military spending is too high and the US historically hasn't helped/benefited by getting involved in foreign military affairs. Forceful "democracy" has backfired thus far in the middle east. Reallocate the money spent on the military to our home land & citizens to support our economy.
