How would you want the government to assist small businesses during an economic downturn, and why do you think that's important?

 @9JPXBNS from Pennsylvania answered…3mos3MO

I think the government should supply resources as long as it does not cost the government too much money.

 @9JSYMFS from Maine agreed…3mos3MO

Small business often go bankrupt and have to shut down because bigwigs like Walmart and Amazon have everything they are selling for cheaper- we should be supporting small businesses in everyday life because there's a higher chance of your product being made in the US or even by hand. Authenticism isn't valued anymore, and the government should fund/provide for them just like they do those big companies.

 @9JPWZ65 from Georgia answered…3mos3MO

I think the government should give small businesses more funds because they should get an equal chance to have a good business and sometimes government interference is good.

 @9JRLW72 from Wisconsin agreed…3mos3MO

How do you envision government spending on public projects having a direct impact on your community's welfare?

 @9L4QV7D from Georgia answered…2mos2MO

The government should spend money on things that help the majority of citizens and have a better understanding of how to help.

 @9L4QSPB from Michigan answered…2mos2MO

I don't think there was a need to change the government spending. The economy should be able to work itself out even if some people struggle during the reformation.

 @9L4QQQP from Indiana answered…2mos2MO

it causes our taxes to rise and we get no say even though we didn't agree to send the money to public projects.

If you started a business and sales dropped sharply in a downturn, what economic policies would you want in place?

 @9HH3P77 from Florida answered…5mos5MO

If I started a business and sales dropped sharply in a downturn, I would want economic policies in place that focus on stimulating consumer spending and supporting businesses. For example, policies like tax incentives, infrastructure investments, and access to affordable credit can help boost demand and provide assistance to struggling businesses. It's important to have measures that promote economic recovery and stability during challenging times.

What's your take on the government lowering taxes to increase people's spending power during tough economic times?

 @9HGYQ9MRepublican from New York commented…5mos5MO

The government idea of lowering taxes is to take away programs that sometimes are needed my take on one specifically is that welfare should be abolished in favor of a program that sends these people to school trains them for five years and then, after the five years they get a job, and they start earning their own living Lowering taxes is OK for the moment, but it’s not going to fix the economy

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3mos3MO

What is your perspective on balancing economic equity with efficiency when it comes to government intervention?

 @9KLSYW6 from Virgin Islands answered…2mos2MO

It is a complex matter, and as it has been introduced in a period of huge crisis, it may have made sense then.
However, even if it was a response to the crisis that led to a stability, it is somewhat unaffordable in the long run, meaning one should rely mostly on raising people's income and raising taxes to an affordable extent.
This way, people would be able to consume more, therefore, paying higher taxes, which would make the country grow economically.
Moreover, people would be bale to afford better, more stable, and healthier lives.

 @9KLRFG3 from North Carolina answered…2mos2MO

I believe that there should be a decent amount of government intervention, to help restore economic balnce and increase equity.

How might your long-term goals align with the idea of government-funded programs designed to stabilize the economy?

 @Name-IrrelevantConstitution  from West Virginia answered…4mos4MO

They wouldn't. My long-term goals mostly rely on the government staying out of my life, and I don't trust government-funded programs that can be weaponized to force me into voting for a certain candidate at the threat of losing my benefits if I don't.
