How might your day-to-day life be different if women had led our society for the past century?

 @9H8C6HD from California  answered…12mos12MO

I think it would be different because our lives today would be more equal, like in wages. n

 @9H8CH4MRepublican from New Mexico  answered…12mos12MO

Depending on the abuse of power or not, then i think it would remain the same or even better than how it is now.

What personal experiences have shaped your views on the importance of women's representation in decision-making positions?

 @9H8BRSN from California  answered…12mos12MO

I’m a young woman who has grown up hearing stories about women who try to speak up and advocate for themselves but are shut down by men in positions of power that refuse to even hear what we have to say

 @9H8BS9B from California  answered…12mos12MO

Woman’s rights are a very important thing, I feel like everything a man does a woman should also do

 @9H8BNCT from California  answered…12mos12MO

Our government is meant to represent the people and so there should be women in our government.

 @9H8BXQVProgressive from California  answered…12mos12MO

The personal experiences that have shaped my views on the important of women's representation in decision-making positions are the voting and abortion rights.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

How does the portrayal of women in superhero movies and comics influence your idea of strength?

 @9HGKRXB from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

While I agree that there should be more women portrayed as superheroes, I also believe that we need to show more women in everyday roles. We need to see more working single-mothers, more college students working two jobs that aren't just average 19-year-old white guys, and more representation in general for women of color especially.

 @24averdu from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

it portrays them in a powerful way so more women are more confident to go into roles of power

 @9HGKQTD from California  answered…11mos11MO

Men would want to control women with their lives and choose if they keep the baby or not.

Imagine if social media platforms were designed with the aim of promoting gender equality; what would be different?

 @9HG93KR from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

 @9HG8WN2answered…11mos11MO

I feel that it would be more widespread equality and we wouldn't have even had to work that hard.

 @9HG9DLV from Maine  answered…11mos11MO

There would be greater public awareness concerning issues of gender equality, and this would assist in the push for a more equal society in general.

 @9HG99JLGreen from Texas  answered…11mos11MO

More people would be having women's rights and look more into the women's rights

Would professional sports be viewed differently if female athletes received the same attention and compensation as their male counterparts?

 @9H85K8W from Arkansas  answered…12mos12MO

Professional sports would definitely be viewed differently if female athletes received the same attention and compensation as their male counterparts. Currently, women's sports receive much less media coverage than men's sports, which leads to less visibility for female athletes and less opportunity for them to gain sponsorship deals and other forms of income. As a result, female athletes are often paid significantly less than male athletes, even when they are performing at the same level. If this disparity were to be addressed and female athletes were given the same opportunities…  Read more

 @9H86J4Z from California  answered…12mos12MO

Womens sports don't make as much money because they don't draw as many views and money. Mens sports earn more because they are more entertaining.

 @9H85PXF from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

Yes, there would be a lot of hate against it... but I have no opinion in this topic.

 @9H85KL9 from Illinois  answered…12mos12MO

The only thing that would change is the amount of viewership for women's sports. It can't be helped that most women's sports are less interesting than men's sports to most people.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

If history books emphasized women's contributions equally to men's, how might that influence students' ambitions?

 @9HGKHTS from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

i feel that we should inspire the next generations of women but no to the point of women being painted in a better light then men

 @9HGKJBK from North Carolina  answered…11mos11MO

 @9HHBJZY from Tennessee  answered…11mos11MO

I think learning about the history of women’s accomplishments helps inspire the younger generation. I believe women can do great things but I don’t believe we need to squash all men on our way to showing we are equals in ability and intelligence

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

Imagine a world where household and childcare duties were shared equally by all genders; how would that impact family life?

 @9H86V6DPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

For some families that would work! It depends on the household because some like traditional and others like to change it up.

 @9H87KKG from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

it wouldnt having a family is a mutual agreement and binds the two together meaning the kid is equal responcibility

 @9H86TDK from Arkansas  answered…12mos12MO

It would make it so that men may be more involved with family life instead of being socially viewed as "babysitters" when they take care of the kids

 @9H873W8Peace and Freedom from Arkansas  answered…12mos12MO

We would be equal. But women are more experienced with household and childcare. A mothers love his more than a fathers love when it comes to that. There just wouldn't be enough or the right kind of love in a household if we were equal in care.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

In what ways might school sports programs be affected if female teams received equal funding and coaching as male teams?

 @9HGKXWQ from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

 @9HGKRXB from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

There'd be more diversity, and people would actually be interested in women's sports.

 @9HGKQB2 from Oklahoma  answered…11mos11MO

 @9HGKXDQ from Wisconsin  answered…11mos11MO

The sports will become less popular in a way. Let's say they cut funding for men's football people are going to go to the game. People are less likely to go to a women's sports game rather than men.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

How would the stories we grow up with read differently if they primarily featured strong female protagonists?

 @9H8CH4MRepublican from New Mexico  answered…12mos12MO

i think that the world would see women as being the more dominant/strong gender in comparison to men

 @9H8CG6K from Idaho  answered…12mos12MO

Female protagonists are great, and women can be protagonists, however, in these stories men should NOT be shown as pussies because men and women are both equal.

 @9H8C9W8 from Idaho  answered…12mos12MO

 @9H8CT9G from Washington  answered…12mos12MO

Women would probably be seen as more capable and taken more seriously and not just emotional people

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

If you could create a new subject in school to address gender equality, what would it focus on and why?

 @9H8CJWB from Idaho  answered…12mos12MO

It would mainly focus on how we're all human beings. Men and Women both think and act differently but that doesn't mean some actions can or should be justified. People just need to think about others or put themselves in each other's shoes more often.

 @9H8CJ87Republican from New Mexico  answered…12mos12MO

 @9H8CF8TConstitution from Tennessee  answered…12mos12MO

Gender equality but in different way. Women have strengths as do men, they are different and equally as important.

 @9H8D226Socialist from California  answered…12mos12MO

It would focus on the opression and stigma women face. The idea that women are born with different strengths than men is absurd. Everybody is different, however, society prioritizes and prefer those certain strengths that they think men and women have.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

Can you think of ways that traditional gender roles limit both men and women's personal freedoms and choices?

 @9H7F3JX from New Hampshire  answered…12mos12MO

They don't. Traditional gender roles are actually quite freeing. My wife wants to be a homemaker. The left would go after her like crazy for that but it is what she wants. But for some reason, it is frowned upon. Should people not do what they want? It also turns out that untraditional roles for women tend to see them fail.

 @9H7F3RC from California  answered…12mos12MO

gender is a social construct created by men, which then effects both, as men hold themselves to an impposiable standard and expect for women to uphold both their standards

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

Can you envision a future where jobs aren't gendered and how would that affect career choices for everyone?

 @9HGPC3Q from Illinois  answered…11mos11MO

Yes I can envision it, I believe people should get paid more if they do a better job

 @9HGPVQW from Washington  answered…11mos11MO

Jobs should have never been gendered in the first place, limiting jobs based on your sex is just plain stupid.

 @9HGP52K from Colorado  answered…11mos11MO

I think that we as a society have made tremendous progress in the terms of women's rights, but I think it will be a long time before we live in a society that isn't as separated.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

What if men were the ones facing restrictions on their reproductive rights instead of women?

 @GenX-gdi  from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Women have more reproductive freedom today than anytime in history. Abortion on demand should not be considered a “reproductive “ right. Use birth control or be abstinent—be responsible.

 @9H7D89BIndependent from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

I think there would be a lot of different opinions from men and women if the roles were reversed in regards of reproductive rights

  @jsimicConstitution from Texas  answered…2mos2MO

What is a right?

You can only have reproductive rights if they are pursuing reproduction.

If a man has a reproductive right, then he has the right to impregnate any woman he sees.

Therefore, his RR is already restricted.

Ironically, abortion is a restriction on RR because it prevents the woman from reproducing.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

How can stories from women's perspectives enrich the understanding of our history and culture?

 @9HTWTPC from Guam  answered…10mos10MO

Women already have enough rights, hell they have more rights than a man and can literally accuse any man of sexual harassment, rape ect and get away with it.

 @9HTWRFB from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

Show the other half of humanity and how they view the world as a legitimate way to view rather than a lesser than view.

What would be different about social norms and dating if society didn't assign roles based on gender?

 @9J3772XProgressive from Illinois  answered…10mos10MO

People would date more so on personality rather than looks and gender roles.

 @9J3756MSocialist from California  answered…10mos10MO

There would be a lot more equality and women would be able to live on their own without being scared for their lives due to violence or lack of money.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

What kind of innovations might arise from a start-up scene dominated by female entrepreneurs?

 @9J37JFL from Oregon  answered…10mos10MO

 @ledopmiConstitution  from Texas  answered…10mos10MO

Why would I expect something different from a female entrepreneur? This is a form of group think, an expectation of everyone who is placed in a particular group to think alike. It's leftist garbage.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

What could the average workplace do to make daily life fairer for women in your opinion?

 @9HG9R7H from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

Decrease the wage gap between men and women, or better yet, get rid of it entirely

 @9HG96CY from Missouri  answered…11mos11MO

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

Why do you think there's less focus on male allies in the women's rights movement, and how important are they?

 @9HHBDV6answered…11mos11MO

I don't believe that there is less focus. but we should not focus on the sex f the person who is supporting we should focus on the general support of the movement.

 @9HGHCZDDemocrat from Nevada  answered…11mos11MO

There are less males due to them not understanding first hand experience of the situation I say its not their fight and they don't matter too much.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

What would be the impact on society if parental responsibilities were completely shared from day one?

 @9HGHZ3Nanswered…11mos11MO

It would be a huge impact because it can't be one sided of taking care of child/children.

 @9HGHV5CLibertarian from Missouri  answered…11mos11MO

The pay gap between men and women would likely be lowered as men could no longer work more while women do more parentuing.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

How do you think the dynamics of relationships would change if both partners had exactly the same opportunities and societal expectations?

 @9H8C7K8 from New Mexico  answered…12mos12MO

It shouldn’t change both are human and deserve respect in their, what should be a consensual relationship, and that mean that no one should have different expectations or rights, in a country’s who’s motto is freedom and justice for all

 @9H8C4C3 from Idaho  answered…12mos12MO

Women's Rights are technically already granted they have the same rights as everybody so I really do think the issue is people thinking other people have something they don't have and they want it and not really a rights issue.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

 @ISIDEWITHasked…12mos12MO

What kind of messages do media and advertising send about women’s roles, and how do they shape our perceptions?

 @9H87MDM from Texas  answered…12mos12MO

I think certain media and advertising help in different ways. In my opinion when I see ads or media of women doing things that make them feel happy or make them successful it makes me feel that women are strong. For example I think fashion shows or anything that has to due with modeling is very empowering for women as it can make many women feel strong and proud of who they are.

 @9H873BD from California  answered…12mos12MO

The media has started to stop showing stereotypical women roles which is important to an equal and nondiscriminatory society.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…11mos11MO

How would the expectations for men and boys change in a world where women's achievements are celebrated as the norm?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…10mos10MO

Why is it crucial for men to engage in discussions about women’s rights and help drive change?

 @9J37PC7 from New York  answered…10mos10MO
