Alaska is gorgeous and needs to be protected. We cannot reverse the environment. The whole POINT of a refuge is to protect the land and make sure it is a safe space for those unique and wild animals.

Alaska is considered the Last Frontier. There are many parts of it that are untouched. Nature is precious. And we have lost that sense of beauty.

The animals environment is a big deal, when we move in and flatten the tree to make room for our housing and shopping centers, for our roads and schools, the animals are being pushed further and further out of THEIR homes! The whole point behind making a wildlife refuge is making a space that is safe and entirely left untouched for the critters, rodents, big game, and fowl of the earth. By allowing drilling in the Alaska wildlife refuge we are bending the rules just a little. And by bending a little one like this, people will push to bend bigger ones.

Go to Teddy’s presidential library, his Wikipedia page, or read biographies about him and his conservationist lifestyle.

A lack of drilling on these wildlife refuges will encourage tourism in the area, improving the local economy, and maintain the untrammeled beauty in the area.

It's a wildlife refuge. It should be kept as wild as possible. We don't have much pure wilderness anymore.

as a planet we need to preserve as much nature and wildlife as we can to help save the planet we live on

Alaska is the fastest-warming state in the country, according to the most recent National Climate Assessment. The last thing Alaskans need is more carbon-emitting infrastructure.

I believe that the exploration of resources should be expanded throughout the world. This will in turn provide more gas, minerals, and jobs to the world for us to prosper. The government should however regulate and fund the technology used for these ventures to prevent oil spills, wildfires, etc.

We need to have a safe area for animals and if we are ruining an area that they have lived in their whole lives it wouldn't be fair

There are many things that drilling for oil affects, this includes, but is not limited to pollution of air and water, oil spills, and respiratory issues.
