You believe in individual liberty, free markets, and limited government intervention to promote a prosperous and self-reliant society.
Classical liberalism is a political ideology that values the freedom of individuals — including the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and markets — as well as limited government. It developed in the 18th century, evolving out of the Age of Enlightenment in Europe and America. The ideology is heavily based on the works of a number of prominent philosophers, including John Locke, Adam Smith, and Voltaire, who championed the concepts of individual liberty, natural rights, and economic freedom.
John Locke, often considered the father of classical liberalism, argued…

How has a compromise between individual freedom and community responsibility played out in your own experiences?
@9LBLWCL6mos6MO
People have been focusing more on individual rights and not as much on community responsibility, which isn't good.
I strongly believe that John Lockes beliefs are a good example to follow when coming up with rights.
@9LBLJRTRepublican6mos6MO
I have not seen much on how it has played out but i'm sure it had an impact on a lot of other citizens.
@9LBLZ9K6mos6MO
the compromise between individual freedom and community responsibility has been demonstrated in personal experience through activities such as community service, highlighting the practical application of classical liberalism

How do you think a hands-off government would change the way our neighborhoods solve common problems?
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
Problems would be solved at every level in a far juster, more ethical way. No aggression, coercion, theft, or force, would be involved. Individuals would voluntarily solve problems together.
@9KHRJ8X7mos7MO
it would be much easier for the people because we know what exactly is going on around us so the problems could find a better solution with the people not the government.
@9KHRMQS7mos7MO
I think a "hands-off government" would allow more people to have freedom in their communities, but it would hinder what the government could do on a local level. Problems on a local level are the community business, however, if things get to escalate then the government of the state or national government should intervene. More violence would become involved if the government was more hands-off.
@9KHR5DH7mos7MO
It would give us a sort of independence to figure out our own problems and fix them before the government has to be involved
@ISIDEWITH9mos9MO
How do you think the internet has affected our perception of personal freedom and privacy?
@9JCVLR2Progressive9mos9MO
I think the internet has affected our perception of medical conditions that could be shared without your consent or your banking data could be made available to third parties.
@9JCVGK39mos9MO
There is no privacy any more and too many people claim personal freedom.
@9JCVP3YPeace and Freedom9mos9MO
When I think of personal freedom in the internet, I think of it as in a way of being fake. I think everyone follows trends or things that other people are wearing, they can't express themselves through things they like but things they see in the online, and as for privacy, I think we have seen right about everything on the internet and it's no surprise anymore.
@ISIDEWITH8mos8MO
In your opinion, what are the limits of free expression in a diverse and interconnected world?
@9KHQZV2Libertarian7mos7MO
limits of free expression could be involving the BLM movement in a diverse and interconnected world.
@9KHRHWK7mos7MO
The limits of free expression I think should be what they are right now.
@9KHRF2Y7mos7MO
One should be allowed to express any and all opinions they have to someone who wants to hear those opinions. Spouting random opinions to someone who does not want to hear them is unneeded and aggressional.
@ISIDEWITH10mos10MO
What's more important to you, collective well-being or individual success, and can both be achieved simultaneously?
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
Individual success and collective well-being go hand-in-hand. If individuals are happy, prosperous, and free, so too will the society they live in by happy, prosperous, and free.
@9HGQ7FL10mos10MO
collective wellbeing, but both can be achieved simultaneously
Collective well-being is more important to me, because the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. But I do believe that through limited measures, both can be achieved.

Would you support a system where the government provides less but you pay fewer taxes, and why?
@9HL95KF10mos10MO
I wouldn't support this because the government already provides little
@9HL96J910mos10MO
Yes I would support that. I think the government is getting too involved.
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
Absolutely. In fact, I'd support a system where the government provides nothing and taxes me nothing. That's my vision for a free society. It happened in the 1800s, under the Jeffersonians Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe. Zero internal taxation with the exception of a brief re-introduction to finance the War of 1812. Then it was back to zero taxation till 1860. We didn't even have a Welfare State till FDR. During that time was there chaos and disorder? No, during that time we grew into the most prosperous and liberty-orientated States the world has ever seen. The greatest economy in history. That's my vision, and it's the only way to be truly free and prosperous again.
@ISIDEWITH11mos11MO
Do you think people are inherently responsible enough to thrive without strict government rules?
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
If people can't be trusted to govern themselves, why should we trust them to govern other people as well?
@9H9H6CF11mos11MO
No, I believe the situation could quickly get out of hand with less government rules. If people are breaking laws right and left as it is now, imagine a world with even less laws! Very chaotic!
@ISIDEWITH9mos9MO
Can you share an experience where you had to fight for a right you believe in, and how did it unfold?
@9J3ZZ8C 9mos9MO
I have had to independently fight to not vaccinate my child until an older age, due to an older sibling being diagnosed with Autism, non verbal, ADHD with symptoms and diagnosis after the child's vaccinations. prior the child was not showing signs of Autism or neurodivergent tendencies.
This is still an ongoing battle due to current laws on vaccination, so my child will continue to follow a homeschool module.
@9J3ZZKK 9mos9MO
I've signed many successful petitions to get justice for wrongly convicted people.
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
I fought for my rights by boycotting woke companies. I was wildly successful, helping to inflict hundreds of millions in losses with my fellow lovers of liberty and virtue on Target and Bud Light. Amazon, we're coming for you next.
@ISIDEWITH9mos9MO
What's one rule at home or school that you would abolish to increase your personal freedom, and what would be the impact?
@9J42N94Independent9mos9MO
Teachers don't have the right to have private conversations with my child.
@9CJ6CB69mos9MO
But students have a right to a safe place to go, and if that isn’t the parents, I have no problems with the teachers being the other way.
@ISIDEWITH9mos9MO
Where in society do you see the greatest need for less government involvement, and how would people's lives improve?
@9JCZ9CY9mos9MO
The government needs to be less involved in the intimate privacy of its citizens. It is a persons right to be able to govern their own body and homes and for no reason should the government have a say unless there is a threat at hand.
@9JCZ5MBRepublican 9mos9MO
I think the government should be less involved with what we do in general. The people truly hold the power and they need to be reminded that.
@9KY6LGG7mos7MO
The economy and foreign policy. End the Fed. Return to the Gold Standard. Abolish taxes. Dismantle the Welfare State. Bring the troops home. End the forever wars. Promote peace and prosperity, they go hand-in-hand.
@ISIDEWITH9mos9MO
How have you, or would you, respond to someone whose individual choices negatively impact the community?
@9J5KGFD9mos9MO
I would condemn their actions and see what legal path I could take in order to punish them.
@9J5KDNV9mos9MO
What impact did classical liberalism have on society?
The classical liberals advocated policies to increase liberty and prosperity. They sought to empower the commercial class politically and to abolish royal charters,
@ISIDEWITH7mos7MO
Which aspect of your daily life would you most like to have complete control over, and what would you do differently?
@9L9ZPGWPeace and Freedom6mos6MO
Income and equal pay, the privacy of my personal information, or being able to dress however I want without feeling like a "distraction"
@9L9XSS8Independent6mos6MO
My privacy, companies and governments have to much control over us from it.
