If disaster relief were left to private companies without government management, how might this change your sense of security?

 @9KS5CMWRepublican  from South Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

I would not feel secure because private companies have biases and can withhold their services or make it more expensive based on those biases.

 @9KS36R8Republican from Alabama  answered…2yrs2Y

private companys will spend and use less resoureses in a emergancy to save money

 @9KS3P7B from South Carolina  answered…2yrs2Y

What would you do if your personal data was entirely at the mercy of private companies with no privacy laws?

 @9LDT77G from Louisiana  answered…2yrs2Y

As stated in my rights I should have the right to my privacy, so if I think that its getting invaded by a company I will go directly to the government and sue the company.

 @9LFZX5R from Minnesota  disagreed…2yrs2Y

No because you have accepted and signed documents saying that they can have the power to your personal data in return for their product/service.

 @9LDSWVX from Louisiana  answered…2yrs2Y

I would sue them because my information should be private and have privacy laws

 @9LDSLWW from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Privacy laws apply to digital as well, strangers shouldn't have keys to your front door.

How would achieving your dream career be influenced by a purely free-market approach to job opportunities?

 @9KSZVJ3 from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

With a free market economy like we have today, anyone can pursue and achieve their dream job if they work hard enough towards it. There are job opportunities everywhere around us.

 @9KTDGVB  from New York  disagreed…2yrs2Y

There are lots of positions that many might describe as "dream jobs" that are either unachievable because of how expensive the learning path for that would be to some people or somebody's dream job may not pay a living wage and would be unsustainable.

 @9KSZXDS from Missouri  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9KSZP3K from Maryland  answered…2yrs2Y

I would be able to expand my business without getting crushed by the state of Maryland every 2 seconds.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3yrs3Y

What is your opinion on having no minimum wage laws dictating your earnings?

 @9H7JMSVWomen’s Equality from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

Everyone should be paid at a rate that is stable enough to keep them living.

 @9H9JYZW from California  answered…3yrs3Y

I think it might be unfair if a company pays below minimum wage, they should at least pay minimum wage if they are to choose how much they pay.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3yrs3Y

Do you believe that everyone truly has an equal opportunity to succeed in a free market?

 @9H9GLLW  from Idaho  answered…3yrs3Y

I think everyone has an opportunity but not everyone has equal opportunities. people born into poverty and those in minorities ultimately have fewer opportunities than those in the majority. However, I don't inherently think that this is a fault of the system and more a fault of the individual or group who is enacting discriminatory practices.

 @9H6KBGR from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

No, predatory buisness practices exist, and monopolies are largely detrimental.

How might the absence of government-funded scholarships change your plans for higher education?

 @9J255G6Democrat from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

Can self-regulation by industries and companies effectively replace governmental health and safety standards?

 @9HMRLX9answered…2yrs2Y

No, I believe the government should hold itself to a higher standard than that of corporations.

 @9HMDW9P from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

it is an effective method to create short term competition and economic growth, but at a point those industries become to big and will lobby against any new industry that could threaten there money and has created stagnation in our economy in terms of new creations.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3yrs3Y

How would you feel about the quality of products if businesses weren't regulated?

 @9H7KMHJIndependent from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

If business wasn't regulated, the quality coming from them would become more poor. With no interference from the government, businesses could become care free and just start making and selling things to take in more money. Without the order and direction of the government, businesses will be able to take people's money on things that aren't worth the price.

 @9H7KLTL from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

If quantity was being focused on more rather than quality, I would definitely not trust what I am consuming. the risk of sickness and other diseases is much higher.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How would public opinion shape business ethics in a society without corporate regulation?

 @9LDVB34 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

In a society with few rules for businesses, public opinion can shape how companies behave. If people don't like what a company does, they might stop buying from them, leading businesses to change their actions to keep customers happy.

 @9LJDSBZ from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9LJDQJRPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I personally think yes private owned roads and tolls would be better off left private citizens and would allow for more reliance and feel of confidence within their economy rather than feeling controlled by a higher unteachable force.

How might eliminating government student loans affect your pursuit of higher education?

 @9KGR8BGSocialist from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Eliminating government student loans would greatly affect my pursuit of higher education. I would like to go to a university for higher education so i can have a good future, but my options are extremely limited due to my financial status. I believe that college and other forms of higher education should be way more affordable and accessible to those with less money.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Would you still pursue higher education if tuition and admissions were dictated solely by market demand?

 @9JD76X3 from Michigan  answered…2yrs2Y

If tuition and admissons were dictated soley on the economy, I would still go to college because my parents are forcing me. They believe if the economy crashes, I need a degree for a job I can fall opon. When the economy crashed in 2008, it impacted my family greatly. They had nothing to fall back on since they didn't go to colllege

 @9JD6MQQ from Michigan  answered…2yrs2Y

No because people are in demand for skilled trades so some people can make more than someone who has a degree

 @9JH4F45Democrat from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Laissez-faire is a political and economic ideology that advocates for minimal government intervention in the economy. The term, which translates from French as "let do" or "let go," suggests that free markets operate most efficiently when left to their own devices. This ideology is closely associated with classical liberalism and is a fundamental principle of capitalism.
