Aside from Israel having historical land there, it will also establish a message for Abrahamic values. Our culture is superior and we have an obligation to spread it.

Israel is America's greatest ally and continues to be a beacon of hope in the middle of a world filled with disaster. We share the same judeo-christian values, and have always been allies, we always will be, so recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol is only logical.

It should not Isreal stole the land in the 1940's and they have been killing innocent Palestinians because of it.

It is the Holy city where it was most important before Israel was established, so it should be the capital as it was respected most by the people and it is the Holiest.

Israel was given to the Jewish fairly, Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel and that should not change just because another country does not agree with the history of it.

Every country has the right to choose their capital and Jerusalem is the historic capital of Israel.

I would say make it the capital of Israel because the city is a holy city and its where god was from

It is unjust to declare the Holy City of Jerusalem as a Capital city, and should instead be an International Holy Site for Christians, Muslims and Jews. It should not be under any Government's oversight.

Israel's government is literally conducted in Jerusalem. So why would we not recognize their actual capital as their capital.

 @9H43D3MWrite-In from Massachusetts disagreed…5mos5MO

Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish state for thousands upon thousands of years. The Israeli people can keep Jerusalem safe much better than any Palestinian group could ever hope to.

 @9GWFTJH from New Jersey disagreed…6mos6MO

Jerusalem is the rightful capital of israel as history shows, and it’s one of the 4 holy cities in israel. Jerusalem is also the home of the Kotel. Most tourists stay by jerusalem so the embassy should be there anyways.

If looked at historically, Palestine was given many opportunities for Jerusalem to be an International city. Instead, Israel was invaded by local Arabs (who would later become Palestinians). the entirety of Jerusalem was taken control of be Israel, legally, in a defensive war. The city is a part of Israel, the country has its government there, and they call it their capital.
