Born in Indiana, raised in a working class, union home, attended college for a year before joining the United States Marine Corps, served as a Marine Artilleryman from 1995-1999, honorably discharged, continued school, became involved in campus activism, joined the Socialist Party USA in 2000, was an organizer of the anti-war movement in the Northern Black Hills, organize counter recruitment movement in Missoula MT, was Grievance Chair for the Grad Assistants United in Carbondale IL, and was part of the team who negotiated a 3 year contract for the Union in 2011. Completed Ph.D. in 2012, then taught political science, history and philosophy until 2018, then moved into Human Services, drove a Paratransit Bus from 2018-2022, then began working with non-profits. Currently I live in Iowa.
