Children over the age of 12 should be taught that racism exists but not that they are inherently racist as that statement is untrue, people surrounded by racist beliefs can grow up racist but none are inherently racist from the start, why specifically over the age of 12 is that little kids will not understand what you are telling them and may even interpret the education wrong leading in a negative out come, children should be taught the injustices and the discrimination that exists in the world but at an age where they will be able to understand the information and should not be taught that they are inherently racist as that is something that is not both not true and not possible as if someone was the great great grand child of someone who was racist does that make them racist? No it does not as it is what they are taught to believe that can cause the possibility of a person becoming racist, and not everyone picks up the beliefs that they were raised around just because someone's parents believe in one thing does not mean that their children believe in it too.
