You believe in promoting the interests, culture, and unity of your nation to achieve a strong, prosperous, and self-sufficient society.
Nationalism is a political ideology that emphasizes loyalty, devotion, or allegiance to a nation or nation-state. It promotes the interests of a particular nation, especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining the nation's sovereignty over its homeland. Nationalism holds that each nation should govern itself, free from outside interference, and that a nation is a natural and ideal basis for a polity. It further implies that each nation is unique and fundamentally different from all others, thus it deserves its own political institutions.
The concept of nationalism emerged…

How does the landscape or environment of your country influence the way you see yourself?
@9JGZCQLIndependent4mos4MO
I feel more disconnected with my country every day.
@9JGZ9MZ4mos4MO
It doesnt influences me much because its just a self point of view
@9JGZJ594mos4MO
Makes me happy that i live in an area with so many opertunitys

When I look at America I see the closest to the promised land that we'll ever see (besides heaven). Rich, dense, and diverse with resources, I want to protect it.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would you explain the concept of national pride to someone who has never felt it?
@9KFTKDM3mos3MO
My country will be the greatest, nobody will beat us
@9KFV88R3mos3MO
Nationalism is where you can be a free and independant member of society whilst being active in your society

Describe a local issue that you believe is a microcosm of your nation's larger challenges or values?
@9KQ5KFGRepublican2mos2MO
Illegal immigration is a large concern both nationally and locally. There are laws in place regarding immigration and they should be followed as they have throughout the history of the United States. Only now are these laws not being enforced, which creates challenges in values at both the national and local levels.
@9KPV9P52mos2MO
I feel nationalism can make or break society and can be turned into animosity towards communities.
I see people dislike goverment and demand more defunding of goverment programs, however qualified individuals who would help them and their needs are turned away due to low pay.
I believe nationalism creates more of a divide in people than unity and can be turned hateful.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
What's one change you hope to see in your nation in the next decade?
@9J2MH3D4mos4MO
That the entirety of the United States undergoes a severe downgrading of military and police expenditure and focuses on socioeconomic problems that plague hundreds of millions, the concept of American Nationalism (especially Christian Nationalism) will cease to exist. (And Patriotism is simply a cover word for Nationalism, something the United States' people no longer require to live their lives.)
@9J2Y2FG4mos4MO
People throughout the country believe the police and military should be defunded, based on the very little bad they do, But if push ever came to shove and we ever went to war the military would be the first people they look for. Or if they are home and being robbed lets say, the police would be the first person they call.

Eliminate protest by paid athletes at professional sports events
@TheRollslapperDemocrat 4mos4MO
That would increase the size of the government, limit people's liberties, go against the constitution that the founding fathers wrote, and promote cancel culture.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
What is a tradition from your nation that you hold dear, and how does it shape your identity?
@9HTGLZFLibertarian 5mos5MO
United States constitution is a fairly large and quality document that helps guide us and helps. Tell us the difference between right and wrong. It helps establish people's rights in this world. I believe if it's followed properly and 12. Probably the world would be a better place. We need to go back to civics 101.
@9J2LFCY4mos4MO
People are more than capable of accepting foreign states, and it shapes my identity because it says that I am a very easy-going guy.
@9J2MS2Q4mos4MO
Traditionally the nation has religious roots. While not very religious, I see the value in a solid moral compass that we can get behind to unite us toward our goals. "In God We Trust"
I believe in american pride and that america should be self-centered meaning that tax dollars should go to benefitting america rather than foreign countries. I also think that Americas needs should be met first.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Have you felt that your nation was misunderstood; how did that affect you?
@9JDFKJT4mos4MO
Not really, I feel our nation has held our ground and fought for whats ours.
@9JDF7D44mos4MO
I do not feel affected by this, I feel like the only people I need to understand me is my friends and family, although I do understand some people struggle with this and aren't heard or recognized by the nation.
@9JDF6D24mos4MO
I never felt like this nation was misunderstood and it never affected me.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
What's one aspect of your nation's way of life you'd like to preserve amidst globalization?
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How would you define patriotism, and do you see it as a positive or negative force in society?
@9HF2BWBProgressive6mos6MO
Patriotism is the support of the ideals and identity of one's homeland, country of origin, or adopted home. It forms the basis of nationalism, which is the extreme form of patriotism, however it is a distinct philosophy separate from nationalism. Patriotism is not mutually exclusive with international politics and reinforces group identity. However, the latter can lead to xenophobic exclusionary ideals. Patriotism becomes nationalism when one views their homeland as unique and deserving of recognition for its uniqueness, which leads to xenophobic and domineering foreign policy to a greater extent than does patriotism. Overall, patriotism can be both a negative and a positive
@9HDZT3P6mos6MO
Love of country, pride in country, devotion to country. Patriotism is a positive force in society.
Patriotism, is the watered down version of Nationalism. Patriotism is loving your country and thinking the rest are alright, as Nationalism is loving your country and hating the rest. And in my opinion, I think Patriotism is a negative force on society as it may lead to conflicts among different people of different Nationalities.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Do you think younger generations view nationalism differently than older generations; why might that be?
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Do you think there's a line between patriotism and nationalism; where do you draw it?
@9HGVZPT5mos5MO
When you're pride for your homeland starts to become hatred towards other countries that are not your own, you end up on a very slippery path.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
What do you envision for the future of your nation, and how do you see yourself in it?
@9J2MKTH4mos4MO
We should actively forge a common national identity built on common values to bind us together as a nation of diverse individuals. If we are to lead internationally, we must first ensure the well-being of our nation and our citizens.
@9J2MH5P4mos4MO
I see our nation going into a time of great political ignorance. Preferring to not offend certain groups of people rather than exposing them to reality. I don’t really know if my vision will change but I feel that our country is too accommodating to the wrong things.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
What local aspect of your nation do you think deserves global recognition, and why?
@9HTGLZFLibertarian 5mos5MO
Our system Justice an outer system of divided responsibilities in government. Always making sure there are checks and balances.
@9J2MC6JWomen’s Equality4mos4MO
I think our global recognition could do better as a country of the US where we live.
