Eryn D. Wukawitz
I am not sure all of this information is accurate. Example, Mitt doesn't want the federal government to take over control of schools from the states...just the opposite. He thinks that each state should regulate their own schools. Also, I think each answer is not fully explained. Interesting idea and I think that if it is expanded, could be a great tool for educating voters.
Bob Anderson
Hmmmm... #ISideWith #Vote2012
Timothy Hughes
I see no acceptable, educated reason for Americans to be against this so called "obamacare" unless they are completely and utterly delusional or ignorant. Listen to the official name. "THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT" the only way I would be against such a thing is if it was completely contrary to what its name suggest. if had the name "red square" but instead was a blue triangle I would be a little miffed but why would poor disenfranchised Americans with expensive health insurance, rising prescription fees, limited benefits and denied coverage be against such a thing? Are Americans idiots?
Gaz Matik
I'm not sure if you're an American, but you fit the bill for 'idiot'. Granting the government power to mandate citizen involvement in specific areas of a private sector of business, even in the most necessitative forms, is wrong. The only similar comparison that makes sense is car insurance; however, we still have a choice. If an American so chooses to not purchase a vehicle, they are exempt from purchasing car insurance, you know, the bill put on citizens by the government with regard to the transportation department. The whole point of insurance is for yourself, and in this country that was founded on freedom my well being is MY decision. Taxes for my well being are taxes for my increasingly mitigated free will.
Wes Madrigal
obamacare just raised my health insurance costs and just raised my insurance's prescription costs.
Tina Armstrong
Speech like yours turns me off to your opinions. Where did your self-righteous attitude come from? I guess you would call someone an "idiot" for having an opinion on an issue and also on their decision to not have health insurance. leaving their healthcare up to tax payers while draining hospital resources?? Get your comparisons into some rational area of your mind: no car/no insurance - no get sick/no insurance; good thinking!
Susan Schessler
Wes Madrigal Isn't it time to act with maturity, stop the name-calling, and stick to the issues? A different opinion does not make someone an idiot.
Wes Prang
Wes Prang, You're right. My immature understanding of what Mr. Matic above said was that an entire side of this opinion was uneducated, stupid, and mostly, uninformed. I'm part of that side, as well as half of America; so pardon me for sticking up (yet, in an immature way) for those who aren't here to defend themselves. Let's stick to facts. This argument was about a care policy that allegedly evens out an uneven playing field for citizens by the route of a mandated tax for the non-followers. The biggest problem with this guy isn't even his care plan, it is his evil trickery. For example, let's talk about the Stimulus plan implemented for job creation and economic stimulation all around. Well, billions of those dollars went to foreign aid, not domestic; foreign job creation, not domestic; foreign business ventures, not domestic. Where is the line that allows a President to take domestically generated dollars for DOMESTIC aid and send it elsewhere?!?! I mean seriously guys, where are your heads when you have come to terms with allowing a leader to spend your own money that foolishly. Now, the portion of the stimulus funneled overseas may have made some production cheaper here and given some corporations a discount on particular jobs going on when they received the funds; however, what the primary portion of functional corporations/businesses receiving that stimulus check for was to create jobs (a form of residual contribution to the country's GDP). Obama did the EXACT opposite. I come to you all with a desire for enlightenment as to how this is right?
Wes Madrigal
Tina Armstrong That money is going to people who need health care but can't afford it. Providing health insurance to more people means that hospitals and private practices (who previously raised their rates to cover the cost) will start sending the bill to insurance companies. So yes, the cost of insurance goes up, but since more people will have insurance, it means that more people will be paying for their health care, so the overall cost of health care will go down.
Wes Prang
Wes Madrigal I'm not asking you to stop sticking up for your beliefs. I'm asking you to stop the immature name-calling. Apparently, you are incapable of delivering a response in a mature manner.
Wes Prang
Wes Madrigal For the record, I don't agree with everything Obama's done, either. But I'm voting for him anyway. The reason I'm voting for Obama is that the ONLY thing I've EVER heard from EVERY Republican I've ever talked with is "You are an idiot". I don't like being called "idiot" just because I disagree with someone.
Wes Prang
Wes For the record, I'm not a republican or a democrat, but more of a Libertarian. Thanks.
Wes Madrigal
Wes Madrigal But you still call people you disagree with an idiot. That's my point, which you've been dodging for hours.
Wes Prang
this is an interesting post.
Mona Hogan-Twombley
I just wish a God fearing man with some sense would run for president and give us someone WORTH voting for.
Darlene Hyslop
Obama is one.
Nyia Njamfa
Obama IS one! I don't think religion should play a part though (Seperation of Church and State?) but I would be afraid to have a man who believes in magical underwear and that when he dies he'll be a god and have is own planet. Someone was drunk when they wrote THAT book...
Jessica Raymond
I hope and pray that whom ever wins the election has the ability to comprehend that there are many Paths to the creator(s) which are all very valid and positive. Many of which do not require "fear" as part of their religious dogma. Also that it is not right to push your own personal beliefs on others and religion should NEVER play a part in politics. You do not need religion in order to make positive decisions for all.
Young Victoria
why? so we can all go back to a world of hate, bigotry and discrimination? dont we have enough of that as it is? you mean well ma'am, that is obvious and for that you are commendable. Young Victoria is correct though when she says You do not need religion in order to make positive decisions for all. Frankly, if your moral compass must come from a book, you have no moral compass at all.
Daryl Martin-Breault
I wish I could underline what you said..."religion should never play a part in politics".
Shelley Carpenter
Jessica Raymond if you believe that religion shouldn't play a part in elections, then why are you judging Romney for what he believes? If it doesn't play a part, why does it matter? Don't contradict yourself.
Alyssa Nielsen
RELIGION SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CONTROL YOUR VOTE! WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE YOU CAN BELIEVE WHATEVER YOU WANT EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE THERE IS NO GOD OR IF I BELIEVE RELIGION IS BS. THIS IS WHY WE HAVE PROBLEMS!
Simon Blas Osorio Reyes
I don't believe in religion and never have. Yet out of all my friends (all of them being very religious) I am the most moral one except for my friend whose "Islamic", but is secretly an atheist but wont tell his parents haha. All religion does is create a doctrine that people can see loop wholes in to support their own beliefs. Personally, I want an atheist to run, but this country is too backward, and does not have a population smart enough or reasonable enough to allow for such a thing to happen (Of course I wouldn't vote for them just because they were an atheist. They would have to be the right person for the presidency in my opinion). The fact of the matter is, religious beliefs do not say what a person believes in. They say what they are supposed to believe in according to their personal religious doctrine. I would be voting for Obama if he was Muslim, or Mormon, it doesn't matter to me. what matters is what the candidate believes and how they are going to implement their beliefs. Yes people, the ISSUES. Not the politics.
R Mitchell Vogel
Young Victoria Ya you do need religion! Thats whats steers us in the right and moral direction! I am confused on who to vote for. I an very much against abortion, and Obama is Pro-choice. So he is out for me. But Romney is Pro-kife EXCEPT for the cases o rape, incest, healthof the mother or the child. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It isnt the babies fault and shouldnt die a painful death because of it. I just dont know what to do. I have to vote for the candicate who is on the side of the unborn. How can we aprove of murder, because thats what it is. I am a mom and a grandma. I just graduated from college majoring in Special Education. These are my personal beliefs and I dont expect others to follow mine but they are moral and thats a good thing!
Bobbie Rieman Becker
VERY INFORMATIVE!
Kelly Creech-Orth
Very informative on the two. All I can and should say on subject.
Debbie Duerksen Flatt
I added this to The Happily Mixed Up Community Magazine for our Members to read. Very Informative! Thanks
Yasmin Sammarco
There both bad candidates but Obamas the lesser of the 2 evils
Justin Rush
yep
Kristine Remick
Nope !
Karen Tippett Layman
yeah justin no way dude.. get your facts from the bible.. lesser.. you fool.
Alec Nichols
I am ashamed to admit this, but I have never voted before! I know terrible. I told myself that after Obama was elected, I will no longer sit in the sidelines and hope that a good president is elected. Now this has happened. I have a very tough choice here. I really don't like either one. Still, one has to be chosen. I guess. Therefore, I was thinking if WE as the American people start a Clinton campaign maybe we could get Bill Clinton back. After all, it is OUR country. Anyone aboard?
Amanda Cook Holinsworth
ummmmm... NO CLINTON.. Just sayin!
Sabrina Dunaway Klassen
so happy you are going to vote....I always do and I always hold my nose and cross my fingers when I do.
Shelley Carpenter
It's funny that Bush (twice) was not enough for you to get out and vote but Obama did... interesting...
Simon Blas Osorio Reyes
Its so funny that the American people all idolize Clinton now- when they had him impeached when he was in office. Always want what you cant have, and always gonna blame someone else for the problem...It's the American way. ;-)
Nichole Schoener
Christy Keeton Not if it is noted that there MUST be intervals of two, and must be atleast two terms between.
Amy Adele
Our healthcare premiums have already increased to meet new regulations. Obama said if we were happy with our current coverage it would not change. He lied. We were not able to choose our coverage level, there was only one plan available. We pay almost $500 more per month. We will not be able to affort our coverage. It would be cheaper for us to pay the "tax"!
Erika Mendelson
He didn't lie - your COMPANY changed the kind of insurance it decided to offer. Someone is still getting your old plan - it just isn't you. Go ahead and pay the tax - at least that will cover the expenses that you and yours incur when you go to the ER with no insurance instead of it being past along to those of us who will pay for it.
Kristine Remick
Kristine Remick He LIED. Every time he opens his mouth he lies. Talk to employers. Talk to doctors. Talk to hospital administrators for the truth. The employer can't afford to offer Erika's same coverage for the same premium. And Medicare doctors and hospitals are being cut too. While the Part A premium goes UP for the elderly.
Bunny Bennett Keene
Bunny Bennett Keene : someone has to pay for the 46% unwed mothers
Michael Marini
No kristine, it eas not Aetna, it was Kraft complying with obamacare. I was a dual liscensed isurance agent for almost 7 years so I understood fully both discussions with the benefit coordonator at work and the insurance company rep. OBAMA LIED.
Erika Mendelson
Really, mine hasn't changed
Linda Baker
Jeanne, I read your link about Romney keeps lying...wow...so true...I am for Obama....
Gilda Magyar
Obama care kills innocent babies and it is too expensive. Pls dont vote him in
Sayed Mackenzie
Romney is definitely the better of the two! Are people not seeing the multitude of lies Obama has said? I lost any faith in that man early on (didn't vote for him either). Prayer is more powerful than he is so I'm praying him out and Romney in.....and then I'll pray for Romney to be the first president in the USA that actually tells the truth!
Marjorie Davidson Bomgardner
Go mom! We need some REAL CHANGE in this country!!
Mandi Bomgardner Kerstetter
Um...are you saying that Romney tells the truth? So him "retroactively retiring" from Bain in 1999 because they outsourced thousands of jobs but signing legal documents in 2003 saying he was the Chief Executive, President, and owner isn't a lie? Him having "blind" offshore trust funds that he has no control over, when back in 1994 he claimed they were a ruse and if anyone wanted to they could easily know where there money was going. Mitt in 2012 is lying to his 1994 self! At least Obama isn't afraid to stand behind gay people and aknowledge they have the right to marry (because they do!). At least Obama didn't take a $77,000 tax rebate for his wifes horse competing in horse dancing-in fancy pants terms dressage (which Republicans would call for impeachment if he did!)
Jessica Raymond
Why is it that people have to get all worked up over other people's feelings and beliefs?? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions... as everyone well knows there is huge conflict between political parties and getting involved in political discussions is usually not the best idea for anyone unless they are discussing something which they both agree on. No one is perfect and tells the truth all the time... we all know there are faults with BOTH candidates.... some are bigger than others and in my opinion, Obama has failed BIG time and not followed through as he said. We are more in debt now than before he came into office and the debt we had when he was elected was outrageous to him then... so why are we even further in it??? Obama wants "change" so I vote we give a big change to the President!!
Mandi Bomgardner Kerstetter
I agree with you, Obama has not followed thru with what he said and yes political debate is tiring, but I believe he's doing the best he can. Obama is merely cleaning up the mess; two unpaid wars, the worst economic depression in 80 years, a broken national health care system, the battered international reputation of the United States, and a horrific job market crash. He's had a lot to deal with...
Jessica Raymond
"it's only he and Obama to choose from"- False
Marcus Aurelius
Good luck with that one.
John C Garcia
Jessica Raymond - I agree with most of you, neither one of them have impressed me. I wish ALL of our political leaders would stop acting like children and stick to the issues. No more slamming and name calling. Quit finding fault and start finding solutions. WHAT EXACTLY IS ROMNEY GOING TO DO DIFFERENT THAN OBAMA???? Here is something that has been bothering me for a while now. Why did they reduce the Social Security deductions from Americans paychecks if the Social Security Administration is in trouble? Meaning, there won't be money for the next generation? I can think of better ways to help the American people out when it comes to putting more money in their pockets. Like for instance, reduce the cost of gas!!! Why do we allow the Oil Companies to continue to make "Billions of Dollars Profit" every year? This country needs to start developing "FREE ENERGY". SOLAR POWER, WIND POWER!!!! STOP DRILLING INTO OUR PRECIOUS EARTH!!!! If we reduced the cost of gas, that would bring down the cost of a lot of things.
Jonie Richardson Angelotti
People will get all worked up over other people's feelings and beliefs when you say "Prayer is more powerful than he is so I'm praying him out and Romney in.....and then I'll pray for Romney to be the first president in the USA that actually tells the truth!"
Simon Blas Osorio Reyes
Jessica Raymond - Nice Democrat talking points. EVERYONE which have been proven false and some retracted......
Bunny Bennett Keene
what's wrong with taking a tax rebate? you would do it. I would do it. We would all want to keep more of our own wealth. Stop trying to demonize people who are able to take care of their own money.
Ansel Potthoff
Not a fan of Obama and I am a republican but the fact that I am a hard working businessman who would not have health insurance with out Obamacare, I do support it. If Insurance was provided to anyone who could afford it I would say the Obamacare plan sucks too but then I would have no health insurance. Sure I pay a lot but I don't care. I have to have health insurance.
Dallas Alexander
Why wouldn't you have health insurance without O care?
Troy Busot
Health insurance companies have denied me coverage due to pre-existing conditions.
Dallas Alexander
Got it - assumed that was it.
Troy Busot
Yeah, if they accepted anyone "id be willing to pay a lot for it" I would not be pro Obamacare. I understand that it is a free market and health insurnace companies SHOULD NOT be controlled by the government but it sucks very much so for those who can't get insurance.
Dallas Alexander
yes, it is a shame that big health insurance companies have the ability to deny coverage because of pre-existing condtions. Maybe the government should focus on making them cover people like this instead of taking my tax money to pay for someone else's healthcare.
Tim Smith
Tim, because of Obama, insurance company's can not deny coverage for per existing conditions.
Linda Baker
Obama care is there to kill innocent babies. Obama has noting 2 offer
Sayed Mackenzie
I see hussein-obama doesn't stand for Anything but himself! He does not stand for Anything American...nor Israel nor our Allies! Hussein-Osama obama stands Only For Himself and Our American enemies! at least Romney is Religious and Believes in God! HusseinObama thinks He Is god!
Lol. Good one. For a second I almost believed you WERE that ignorant and unintelligible.
Marcus Aurelius
For the love of God, lady! You can't CHOOSE your name! He didn't CHOOSE to be named Barack Hussein Obama. His PARENTS named him that. Just like they named YOU Patricia, which I find to be an abhorrent name. But I'm not going to sit here and judge you for it. You cannot use his NAME as a weapon against him. That is completely unfair and uncalled for.
Matthew Harrison
Also, he's named after his father, whose name was also Barack Hussein Obama. His father was born in 1934. Saddam Hussein, who you're trying to connect all of this with, was born THREE YEARS LATER, in 1937.
Matthew Harrison
can we keep separation of church and state? what is wrong with all you close-minded religious people with warped belief systems. grow up and look at things from a larger perspective.
Alicia Sbona
At least he believes in God? Those are the EXACT idiots we want OUT of the White House.
Zachary Tillery
Patricia, how about giving some facts. Give some examples of how he does not stand for anything American, or Israeli or our allies, how does he only stand for himself? And since when does believing in God mean you'll be a great president? And did Obama tell you he's an atheist? How about facts instead of spewing hate backed by nothing. You sound like a true republican.
Laura Pender-Ferrarini
Thanks so much Patricia. By the grace of God Obama will be leaving this November
Sayed Mackenzie
Odd that this post says that Obama says that religious organizations should be exempted from having to provide birth control. I believe this statement is incorrect. It should say "no" with no qualifiers.
Joe Love
Oh so you enjoy watching teen mom? might be your thing.. idk. but in the end the local health dept here has free condoms. and depo shots. it stops you from paying for that babies health insurance for sure... now u tell me which would cost YOU more... contraceptives? or paying for that childs insurance?
Amy Adele
How about if you can't afford a child....don't have sex. Why is it always someone else's responsibility when an unexpected pregnancy occurs? I would rather not pay for either.
Lauren Barringer
I Love Romney-comparied to , no job's out their in almost four year's-Barrack Obama.what's working with this.
Ariel Omega Young
i hope your not serious. Romney is a slimy piece of shit
Jesse Ballard
Yeah Romney is a turd.
Devan Ballard
the fuck?
Robert Wilson Tarbox IV
Finish learning grammar first.
Marcus Aurelius
When I see comment like above it makes me wonder why someone is a piece of sh-- or a turd just because they have a different view of things. I do not agree with many of Obama's chocies, but I still can give him the respect he deserves.
Kathryn Wells Del Calvo
See the respondents from Obama's side? Remind you of the Occupy Wall Street crowd? ROMNEY/RYAN 2012
Bunny Bennett Keene
WOW... name-calling. That's intelligent. FYI... I'm being sarcastic. (I wouldn't want you to get confused)
Tim Smith
http://newsjunkiepost.com/2010/10/08/its-official-more-private-sector-jobs-created-in-2010-than-during-entire-bush-years/
Paige Elizabeth Bruhn
He created more private sector jobs in 2010 than during entire Bush years, meanwhile Romney talking about his jobs record on Fox News on Tuesday: “[At Bain Capital], we helped create over 100,000 new jobs.” Actually, no, he didn’t. Fehrnstrom says the 100,000 figure stems from the growth in jobs from three companies that Romney helped to start or grow while at Bain Capital: Staples (a gain of 89,000 jobs), The Sports Authority (15,000 jobs), and Domino’s (7,900 jobs). This tally obviously does not include job losses from other companies with which Bain Capital was involved — and are based on current employment figures, not the period when Romney worked at Bain. Romney is only counting jobs gained at companies restructured at Bain during and after his years there — and is not factoring in jobs lost — in claiming he created over 100,000 jobs.
Paige Elizabeth Bruhn
Mitt all the way !!
Karen Tippett Layman
Voters should read this Romney vs. Obama
Thomas Casteel
Wow, I may be voting for Obama again after reading this....that was unexpected for me.
Lindsey Reis Heafey
It's hard for me to believe anything Obama says. Fool me once, but fool me twice....I don't agree with Romney though. It's hard. I don't know how I'm going to vote :-/
Kat Theiss
They both suck.
Sarah Heidtke Ott
What pisses me off is when people have no insurence at all and they get sick and go to the hospital and get catholic charity. We are paying for this, US, you and I. Most of the time these people are hiding their money. I know of people who have sent their o the very best collage and have gotten catholic charity. People who gamble 130,00 a week and get catholic charity......this is wrong!!! I send my son to a state collage because I have to pay for our health care. I have to be a mature adult and know that both issues are important. I can't gamble 130,00 a week cause I have to pay for my health care. ...Come on people stop asking for handouts!!! My husband works three jobs and I work with three auto immune disorderswhere most people would be home sitting on their butt collecting disability! Enough is enough with this country!! Wake up, I know so many people who collect disability that work!! Stop letting people rob us!!!
Maria Gregov
Kat Theiss In words of bush jr, "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice....You cant get fooled again" lol sorry your comment just made me think of that and how grateful iam that George w. Bush jr is atleast no longer president. I will be voting for Obama/Biden in Nov because they match more of what my morals and beliefs are.
Jesse Leisher
funny thats what I said abouth George DUBYA!
Richard Carlson

Amen, I have heard people say they get more money collecting unemployment so they will not even look for a job. I believe in helping someone but unemployment and welfare should not be a permanent income.
Laurie Schmidt

I agree more with Mitt Romney, ObamaCare just takes too much money away from buisnesses and people, it's not a good solution for the healthcare issues in america, and I don't see why on earth when an illegal imigrant gives birth to a child on American soil, that there child should be considered american, they should just be sent home with there parents, for schools that are failing to get there childeren to get to the performance standards, they should not get as much money, because they don't have the best teaching styles, and yes, abortion should be outlawed, because one, it wastes the hospitals money and time, I mean, it should be legal only if it's nessary, gay marrage is so wrong, health insurance companies should not be required to provide free birth control, it's not something nessary, the goverment should not fund any research, because the economy is in bad shape, we need to cut funding to research because it just costs too much, and Global Warming is a threat, but because of our bad economy we should not spend money to help save, just leave it too the people to deal with, however, I don't think we should spend anymore money on space exploration, we should leave that too other countries to do because of our bad economy, overall I think Mitt Romney is better because he's going to cut funding to unnessary stuff, and going to remove some of the regulations for buisnesses, so that the economy gets better.

It is posts like this that give Americans an ignorant reputation. For someone who doesn't support giving aid to those less fortunate (i.e. schools with lower performances, gay people who are limited to expressing themselves because of a general public uneasiness), you yourself could certainly use some help. In your paragraph you fail to capitalize your own country's name yet capitalize "global warming". You misspell "immigrant", use a shameful amount of misplaced commas, a plural "hospitals" when implying a possessive "hospital's", the wrong "there" which implies a location instead of the possessive "their", end a run-off sentence with the preposition "with". Oh, and how could I forget. You use an inexcusable amount of run-off sentences. You have some valid points (granted I don't agree with all of them), but you should really work on presenting your thoughts in a more educated manner so people will take your opinions more seriously.
rachelhain
so why aren't you cutting down the next post below. She doesn't use any punctuation at all and capitalizes "jerk" and "next"? Maybe it's because you support her position. It's time to stop the nit-picking to try and prove that one side or the other is unintelligent. This is a waste of time. Talk about the issues and your opionions. Treat others how you want to be treated.

Where are you getting your information on Obamacare?
Linda Baker
Okay look, I'm not even old enough to vote yet, and I know Mitt Romney is one of the worst people to vote for president. First of all, Gay Marriage should be considered as regular marriage. If two people love each other, why would you want to stand in between them doing what almost every serious couple wants to do, I mean, if you're not gay, this should have no regard to you. It would not affect you in any way because YOU are not getting married to the same sex. If you are gay, you should support the idea completely, because you are of the matters questioned. Secondly, Abortions should be in the choice of the woman giving birth. I personally would rather not have a little one running around all because of a broken condom, you are basically having life forced upon you unless you are supporting and practicing Abstinence. I do not believe that many hospitals are really "over busy" per say, so time is really being spent wisely. For my third point here, I'd like to point out the schools doing the worst, are mostly the ones with the least funding already. Restricting even MORE funding would result in even lower grade point averages, the only thing is getting money to fund the schools. Funding research could actually save us money. Finally, for my last point, Obama Care is providing health care for people who can't afford the small fortune to pay for it through their jobs. Unless you are well into making enough money to live comfortably, that is almost unreasonable. There are people with College Degrees, working at McDonalds. Because jobs are running out, it's bad. They can't afford healthcare on minimum wage, how could anyone else who HASN'T graduated college yet supposed to? The economy needs improving, yes, but taking all of the money away from things that could possibly be HELPING OUR COUNTRY progress is not helping the economy. Why not cut something more practical, like the funding for enlargement pills? I'm sure a hefty chunk of money is spent a year to manufacture and research products that we quite frankly don't need. I have stated my opinion, and hope that somebody will listen to it, and please tell me if my points are valid or not. I'm on this website because I want to know what I'm getting into in the working world next year, and the voting world in the next three.

rachelhain The kid's in MIDDLE SCHOOL! How about discussing the issues at hand instead of nit picking his grammar? I don't agree with pretty much everything he said but at least he's interested in political issues, which is more than I can say for most kids his age.
Annie Long
Michael Waldo You seem like a smart kid.
Annie Long
Thank you. :D

That child born on american soil has as many dreams as any child born on american soil, he deserves a future just like any child in the U.S. You say they should be sent home but to these children America is there home, its where they grew up. America started with nothing but strong immigrants willing to work for their freedom and for their future, everyone's ancestors in this country where strong immigrants willing to look for something better for them and their children just like the parents of these young children. Its is sad that after everything our country has fought for , we still have people like you.

If you were the one footing the bill for those to have "affordable" healthcare, you would understand it. I am sure those who will not foot the bill themselves really do like obamacare. It would make sense that they would LOVE it, in fact. I know I am tired of paying for my way and others who are able bodied to go to the doctor. My own kids could have a much better life if I didn't have to "parent" those who like a handout. Obama is an enabler. JS

Awhile back, I was at a gas station late at night...and a group of about 8-10 people (there REALLY were that many people!) were in line ahead of me. The girl at the front was telling her family to "get whatever you want. I'm not paying for it. It's free." I SOOOOO badly wanted to get in her face and say, "You are WELCOME! My husband, who is working tonight while you are out having a good time, paid for that. I paid for that, and I'm sure my kids will still be paying for your snacks when they get jobs!" She kept going on and on about how it was all free "cause I'm putting it on my Lone Star card." I feel the same way about the healthcare thing! You go, girl!
Angela Stahlecker Roberson
Carey i agree with you there, those who don't foot the bill usually have that OH WELL its free mindset, Things that are free are not valued at all, Many who look for jobs don't realize the companies are the ones spending the money and resources to hire you. background checks and all the other things that they do to set you up with a job costs money, It makes me laugh when people say oh i didn't have to pay anything for a Job, and i look at them and say this, you may not have, but the company you work for just did. Your job is not free in any regard. The big thing about the Obama care i didn't like was the fact that being a young guy who hardly ever goes to the doctors since i keep my self in Good health, was i look at health insurance requirement, as its another bill that is way to high to pay, do i want the government to pay it for me? no, i work hard and id would pay for it myself but the costs should be lower or discounted for good health, in some aspects, i don't endanger my own health, by smoking or drinking or any of that, so why should i be penalized for keeping myself in good health just doesn't make sense. I think the simple concept always sounds great at first but the details are more confusing.
Andy Berry
boo hoo cry my a river, I own a business and pay taxes and have no problem the Afffordable healthcare Act! it provides basic medical needs for those with the least! I know it must burn you up, that a poor person will now be able to get much needed medical care. God is looking down shaking his head !
Manny Marrero
I think you missed a VERY important part.... (perhaps you should read more carefully) I will quote myself here: "know I am tired of paying for my way and others who are able bodied to go to the doctor. My own kids could have a much better life if I didn't have to "parent" those who like a handout" Meaning they too can get a job. I have no problem helping those who can't help themselves (which I do, voluntarily, btw), or that can't make enough money to afford healthcare and actually have a job. As for your judgmental comment, there are several more of these in the bible: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 ~For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.
Carey Laney Murray
Sure there are those people who "..like a handout" but there are far more people dying out on the streets because they dont have any healthcare insurance! & a lot of those people were born into that way of living; its hard living in today's times but its not like all of those people choose to live on the streets. We need to look out for others and do the best we can while helping them. We should be thankful for what we have, and look at the Afforable healtcare act with such negativity.
Ashley Faye Apolloni
I do not understand why those who feel that it is their duty to support "those dying on the streets" do not give monthly payments to these people themselves - straight out of pocket. It should not be mandated that those who work for their money (whom many have started off in low income families) have to give their hard earned cash to others. Those that feel they should be helping others, you are more than welcome to - voluntarily. Each month, please give the money out of every check.
Kristin Guilbeau
Manny Marrero Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, _ Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. _ Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor. _ 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one... It is poor faith to rely on someone else to provide for you. And If you want to bring God into this, think about all of the petty matters such as Abortion and Global Warming that Liberals love to babble so incessantly about. Pro-Choice=Pro-God? No. Pro-Romney=Pro-God in ANY aspect. HA faith in Him does not mean worry about Global Warming, it means dig into the fossil fuels God has so plentifully provided yet we continue to reject. Trust in Him that we will find clean energy when we need it.
Alec Nichols
We have our own business and pay our fair share of taxes. I have no problem with everyone having health insurance. I do think it should be affordable however. I have found over the years that minor doctor visits and prescriptions don't really require health insurance because the fees you pay for these items and services are far cheaper than your monthly insurance bill. Insurance is great if you have a prexisting medical condition that requires a lot of money to keep it manageable or if you need an expensive surgery or get extremely ill for whatever reason. I also think that if you are a smoker/chew user and end up with emphysema or an illness that is directly related to your personal choices then you should pay more for your insurance. You're a higher risk to the insurance company due to choices you made. You made the choice you deal with the consequences just like every person who doesn't choose to smoke or chew.
Jennifer Duckworth
believe it or not, some people out there were once in positions to support themselves and had an unexpected change in their situation causing them to need a "handout" which i will gladly give them. by the way, the only people taxes will be raised on to pay for the care under obamas plan are incomes of over250,000 dollars yearly. if you are making that, your kids have a fine life.
Laura Skillman
News Flash under the so called "Obamacare" you aren't going to be paying for as many people recieving this "free" healthcare because people are required to have insurance. @ Andy Berry: yes I agree that companies do spend money to hire someone, but if it wasn't for those people they hired they wouldn't have any money at all so don't give me that company plight stuff. Also "Obamacare isn't forcing you to have it, if you want your own private company insurance go get it, it is simply a government sponsored alternative to private healthcare which promotes....gasp....competition.
Charles Edward Hubert
Regardless of what you call it or whether you insist that I buy it I still cant afford it. I will have to live in my car in order to pay the premiums.
Keith Cutrer
Have you tried to buy insurance.?
Linda Baker
when the premiums went to 1377 per month for me with a 2500 dedcutible i canceled it. that s about 20000$ per year further it has double in the last four years. im not looking for free health care just affordable.
Keith Cutrer
You think that's bad? Watch what happens if Romney gets in and gets his voucher program.
Laura Pender-Ferrarini
That is insensitive of you to say..... your making light of my situation for the sake of ignorantly following obama
Keith Cutrer
I'm certainly not making light of your situation. Our health care system needs a complete overhaul. But if Romney gets in and overturns Obamacare (which allows kids to stay insured under their parents coverage till age 26 and does not allow insurance companies to refuse to pay for pre-existing conditions) a lotmore people will be uninsured. And if he then creates a voucher program out of Medicare, everyone will get a pittance (dependant on how much you paid in) from the government to go and find their own policy (you pay out of pocket what the allowance doesn't cover) and insurance companies will refuse to pay for pre-existing conditions and grown kids trying to find employment or going to school part time cause they can't afford full time will no longer be covered by their parents policies. It would be a complete healthcare disaster. You're in a very bad situation. but if Romney gets what he wants, my fear is that the majority will be in your situation. I apologize if you got the impression that I was making light of your situation, I take our healthcare system extremely seriously, it affects my life tremendously.
Laura Pender-Ferrarini
The problem with obama care is that it ignores supply and demand ...... If there were more drs there would be less cost. and the reality is that obama care may have required insurance companies to cover pre existing conditions but it doesnt limit how much they can charge for those preexisting conditions. the only way to truly reduce the cost of health care is to create more dr and the the med schools turn away a thousand students every year .... you should bare in mind that for what one person receives for free another person has to do without .. it doesnt matter how you slice we are going to have to pay for health care . unless you can get drs and nurses to work for free.
Keith Cutrer
I am a nurse and know many doctors who have quit their practice due to the extreme cost of malpractice insurance. They discourage their children from going into the business. Hospitals loose a lot of money having to take so many patients with no healthcare coverage who do not pay the bill. Like I said, the whole system needs a revamp but making seniors or near seniors pay a large portion of their premium and not putting a cap on what insurance companies can charge isn't the answer either. I think that would just worsten the problem.
Laura Pender-Ferrarini
i am a CPA and i too have heard how dpctors have the horrible costing malpractice insurance premiums but i have yet to see any actually pay large malpractice premiums. They all take the attitude that if lawyers dont see deep pockets they will go away. as far as law suits i dont know of any professional that doesnt run the risk of getting sued whether deserved or otherwise. and when it gets down to it i dont really ecourage my children to be a CPA for pretty much the same reason. and like i said before you cant provide something for free accept by taking something from someone else that has earned it.
Keith Cutrer
What I don't like is that obamacare was forced down our throats & if you don't choose it then you are taxed out the ass, how is that any better then Romneys tax break to the rich? I also don't like mitt Romneys stances on immigration & abortion, I mean has he seen the violence in that poor country? The majority of folks coming from there Are fleeing the cartel violence! If they have a criminal record, then send them back but if they are just hard working ppl trying to make a better life for themselves & their families then grant them amnesty! As far as abortion if concerned as a man, Romney should stay out of it.
Norma Pruski
ONLY THING ABOUT OBAMA CAMPAIGN THAT ALWAYS TALK ABOUT MITT ROMNEY THAT HE DID NOT PAID ENOUGH TAXES, THEN WHERE IS ALL THE PEOPLE GONE IN APRIL 2012 WHEN THERE WAS NEW THAT OBAMA HAD PAID LESS TAXES THAN HIS SECRETORY.
Sources?
Jay D. Johnson
at least hes trying to change that. if its true.

if there is high taxes on millionaire than there will be no business in United States and no job. then us will no longer THE GREAT NATION, AND ANYWAY RICH DO NOT USE GOVERNMENT FACILITY SO WHY THEY SHOULD PAY MORE TAXES THAN POOR OR MIDDLE CLASS.
