“The world as a whole needs to consider expanding the powers of the United Nations to address such problems. As it stands today, the UN is too weak, due to the one-country veto power held by the superpower nations as well as a laughably underfunded aid/military budget. The countries of the world should unite under the UN to make it the most influential and powerful humanitarian vessel on earth, and in doing so minimize the roles of national military might across the globe.”
