On Februiary 22, 2014 Ukranian President Yanukovych was impeached by parliament after several weeks of violent protests against his administration. After being run out of the country and charged with killing 82 protesters he was replaced by a pro-western government led by Oleksandr Turchynov. The crisis sparked tension between Russia, the U.S. and Europe. The Russians were longtime supporters of Yanukovych while the U.S. and Europe support the western democratic principles of the Turchynov administration. See recent Ukraine news

Overall I approve because he is clearly making the case against Russian aggression in the Crimean Peninsula and the sovereign nation of the Ukraine. However, I also like that he is pushing the EU to take the 'lead role' as much as possible here.... 2 years ago from a Democrat in Edison, NJ
