“Each student graduating from public education should have a firm knowledge of basic skills in math, English, science and history/government, sufficient to be able to make their way in this society. This crazy standardized testing serves no one but the people who create and maintain those same tests and cause unwarranted stress on students and teachers who must now "teach to the test." Offer classes in higher education to those who would profit from them and be sure that those who leave these schools are prepared to address life issues that are common to us all by making sure they can read, write, perform basic math and know how their government works in order to be strong citizens of this country, instead of trying to implement forced fed programs that serve no one.”
