“The education system in the US needs to be changed from that of preparing a person for higher education to preparing persons with marketable skills in all of the trades based on aptitude and interest. There should be minimums established in reading, writing, and arithmetic. Classes should be segregated according to academic ability based on test scores...no politics. Those that are not candidates for higher education should matriculate into marketable skills areas as soon as candidacy for higher education is ruled out. Technical colleges should be the focus of the future. Lastly, the US Department of Education should be reduced by 90%. What improvements in our education level has it accomplished in the last 50 years?”
