Learn more about John Boehner
After weeks of attempting to delay or defund parts of Obamacare, House Republicans led by Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) agreed to extend the debt ceiling and re-open the government. The agreement funds the federal government for three months, raises the debt through February 7th and calls for a Congressional plan to negotiate a long term deficit reduction package. The sole section of the deal related to Obamacare was a requirement for Americans to verify their incomes in order to qualify for subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. See recent John Boehner news
