This week an amendment sponsored by Senator David Vitter would end employee sponsored health insurance for Congressional Staffers and force them to participate in exchanges set up by the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The amendment is significant because several leading Senate Republicans will “object” to any pending fiscal deal, unless the Senate concurrently votes on the Vitter amendment.
