“Ted Cruz, the Tea Party, and many conservative representatives used an unprecedented stalling tactic that brought the nation close to defaulting on its debt (which would have had near-catastrophic economic repercussions) because they wanted to block the Affordable Care Act. An act which was signed into law by the President of the Executive branch, agreed on by Congress in the Legislative branch, and upheld by the Supreme Court and the Judicial Branch. Therefore, this act was implemented through every measure of democracy our country possess and this breach of protocol by the far right should not be tolerated.”
