SCR 1 would allow two new casinos to open in northern New Jersey. Since 1976 casinos in New Jersey have been limited to Atlantic City. The proposition would allow any operator of an Atlantic City Casino to submit a $1 billion proposal to operate one of two casinos that are at least 72 miles from Atlantic City.  See recent SCR 1 news
