Because God declared homosexuality an "abomination," and He created the moral law.

God should not be brought into politics. Some people don’t share the same religious beliefs as you and that’s ok, let them be happy.

You evidence?

Also we think we are right and you are wrong. And guess what we are both right! It doesn't matter what you believe LGBTQ+ people deserve to have the same rights as everyone else. You can go on a rant about it if you want.

The founding documents of this country including the Declaration of Independence brought God into politics, have you ever read that document?

 @9TTMQNGCommunist from Minnesota  disagreed…10mos10MO

I have! And I happen to have read another founding document called the US Constitution, and it has a nifty little part of it called "The First Amendment."

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

If they really wanted to bring God into politics, would they have written that part about "an establishment of religion"?

 @MAGA_Deplorable from Washington  disagreed…7mos7MO

You and I both know (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you have a nonzero IQ here) that basing laws on religious values is a far cry from Congress creating a National Church of the United States that all taxpayers are required to send money to. The First Amendment was written to prevent THAT, it was NOT written to make America a Secular Nation, that's for dang sure.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."If they really wanted to bring God into politics, would they have written that part about "an establishment of religion"?

I don't think you understand what that part of the first amendment even means. It doe NOT mean that they wanted us to have a christian nation, or wanted us to bring religion into our government. It in facts means the exact opposite.

"The First Amendment of the United States Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion".

This clause, known as the Establishment Clause, was written primarily by James Madison.

It reflects the widespread agreement after Independence that there should be no nationally established church."

God is the one who created the people, including homosexuals. He's not the one who disagrees with their marriages, it's the "christians". I don't see the reason why they should'nt get the same legal benefits of marriage as heterosexuals, as the USA has religioua freedom and no church should dictate others their view of the world. Note that I said the church, not the religion, since, like I said, God created them how they are and no one should try to repair his creations.

 @9VNDFCDPeace and Freedom  from Utah  commented…9mos9MO

I find this extremely offensive, me being Christian myself I do support them and I love the LGBTQIA community so much, I've had my fair share of girlfriends in my time, I'm currently dating this amazing girl, we have a lot of plans together, INCLUDING adoption if we get to that point. Thanks for assuming, jacka**. And just a reality check, God literally says in the bible that marriage should be between a man and a woman in the temple and no one can enter the celestial kingdom without it. My opinion, we should be free to do what we want, and marriage shouldn't be just to get somewhere high, it should be for love. Don't assume all Christians are super homophobic and hate all this, because most of them are actually not homo.

 @9YLYFPR from Ohio  disagreed…8mos8MO

They put quotation marks when they said "Christain." They are aware not all Christians are homophobic.

 @B3K8BR9 from North Carolina  commented…4mos4MO

I agree, because so many people just blame everything on Christians, and it drives me nuts. I am also a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. Hell, my whole church is a branch off of the United Methodist church, and one of our core beliefs is that we accept everyone, no matter if they're LGBTQIA+, ethnic backgrounds, we accept them. So that comment is blatantly false and ludicrous.

God created a perfect world. It was the Lucifer who created the sin. God is perfect. He cannot stand to be with sin, and that is why we do not walk side-by-side today.

 @9V94J34 from New York  disagreed…9mos9MO

If God created a perfect world, then how come Lucifer exists? Wouldn't God just not create Lucifer? And if God did create Lucifer, then how come God, who is perfect and omniscient, couldn't foresee Lucifer's fall into sin? Your argument is fundamentally unstable.

God's creation of Lucifer and the existence of evil doesn't negate His perfection or omniscience—it actually demonstrates the depth of free will. If God had created only beings who could never choose anything but good, then free will wouldn’t exist. Lucifer’s fall wasn’t because God couldn't foresee it; rather, it was because God allowed Lucifer to exercise his free will. Think about it: If God prevented the potential for disobedience, then we’d all just be robots, incapable of love or devotion, which requires the possibility of rejection.

Also, consider this: Lucifer was created as one of the most beautiful and powerful angels, but he choseRead more

God didn't want to. Lucifer was one of God's most beautiful angels. He got jealous of the other angels and had pride in himself. He gathered other angels and tried to rebel. Whenever Satan tempted Eve with the fruit, sin entered the world. In the Bible God said he regretted making humans.

I'm Islamophobic and proud of it, I despise all Muslims with a burning passion. I don't care what the Qur'an says, anyone who has faith in Islam is a disgusitng pedophilia sympathist. According to Islam, pedophilic acts are acceptable, but homosexual acts are not. What kind of twisted, perverted, wicked logic is that? It absolutely flabbergasts me how over a billion Muslims can defend or excuse the revolting actions of Muhammad. I treat Islam the same way I treat NAMBLA, with absolute disgust and rejection. Just because a pedophilic cult claims to be superstitious does not mean I have to justify it's horrific beliefs and Muslims should not attempt to apply the "cultural norms" of the time to the modern day. Islam has no place in a thriving modern society.

 @XfactorBl4ckBoxfrom Massachusetts  disagreed…9mos9MO

You claim to despise Islam because of what you believe to be its support for pedophilia, yet you ignore the fact that *modern-day* Islamic scholars overwhelmingly reject child marriage and pedophilia based on contemporary interpretations of the Qur'an and Hadith. Meanwhile, you're stereotyping over a billion people based on the actions of a few extremists or historical customs that no longer apply. If you're going to judge an entire religion based on past norms, then by that logic, you should reject every civilization or religion that existed more than a century ago. Christiani…  Read more

Islam is a religion about love and acceptance of others even if they are different.

Islam is ancient religion and you must remember that the Qur'an were written to the social standards of the day, not those over a thousands years later.

At the time the Qur'an was written it was extremely liberal, it gave women the ability to testify in court, divorce their husband, and own land.

Some extremists like the Taliban, twist its words to suit their terrible beliefs, but they do not represent all Muslims. The KKK, twists the Bible around to be extremely racist.

 @9TX9LW4 from Arizona  commented…10mos10MO

according to sheikh chatgpt, he says " No, Islam does not condone pedophilia. Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of consent, maturity, and justice in marital relationships. While there have been historical marriages involving younger individuals due to cultural norms at the time, Islamic law requires both physical and emotional maturity before marriage can take place. The concept of marriage in Islam is built on mutual respect, protection, and the well-being of both parties. Pedophilia, as understood today, is universally condemned in Islam, as it is harmful and exploitative, which goes against core Islamic principles of justice and morality"

Love is love, and it is a fundamental human right to be able to choose who you love and be with that person legally. Denying someone the right to marry the person they love simply because of their gender is a form of discrimination. And we know from history that discrimination is never the right way to go. Just imagine if people were denied the right to marry based on their race or religion! That would be unacceptable. So why should we deny someone the right to marry based on their sexual orientation? That's just wrong.

What do you think is the biggest obstacle that the LGBTQ+ community faces when it comes to achieving full equality?

 @Minarchist-08Libertarian from Washington  disagreed…1yr1Y

True rights never entitle anyone to anything. Homosexual sodomists are demanding that the rest of society be forced to accept their so-called "marriages" – they think they are entitled to that. But all true rights do is protect individuals from force and encroachment. A right to life, for example, is a right not to be murdered, a right to liberty, a right not to be enslaved, a right to property, a right not to be stolen from, (among other related crimes). Whereas no one is using force on homosexuals by refusing to recognise their perverse activities as "marriage" &nd…  Read more

You do not understand what a right is and conflating your misunderstanding of your own religion with your rights as an American citizen. Furthermore, your understanding of your religion has clearly instilled in you a sense of rage against your human brothers for no reason other than it's not how you live your life. Being gay is not immoral, but using your fear of gay people to speak down on them and deny them peace as you are is.

 @9TYJFHK from Illinois  disagreed…10mos10MO

A "right to sodomy" is actually a right to not be arrested or punished for engaging in otherwise lawful, mutually consensual, intercourse. It's an extension of freedom from undue state interference. Ergo, your point doesn't apply there.
