No, the firearm dealers and manufacturers are not responsible for the people who have used firearms to commit crimes.

You sue the person who used the gun, not the person who made it, as the person who made the gun also made guns to help prevent criminal action.

You have the right to sue but why sue the seller they have no control of what the person they sell to do with the gun.

Ok, so what’s next? Suing the wood company because your house fell on you? The gun did what it was supposed to do; it killed someone. This wasn’t some blind siding thing.

I mean you can use whoever you want but if you expect to get money from someone who legally sold someone a gun that happened to do something illegal with it than I would argue that you are an idiot.

I don't think it's ok to sue anyone for any reason for gun liability and both parties should pay the same amount.

The First Amendment right “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” has been wrongly, over broadly interpreted as a right for anyone to sue anyone for any reason.

Unless the government manufacturered or distributed that weapon, it's a non sequitur.

unless it is a major company then a proven person would need a sponsor in case their case is lost so that is why they can pay the legal fees.
