You believe in promoting social equality through progressive taxation, social safety nets, and government regulation of businesses.
Economic progressivism is a political ideology that advocates for economic reforms that promote social justice and equality. This ideology is rooted in the belief that the government should play a significant role in mitigating economic disparities and ensuring fair distribution of wealth. Economic progressives argue for policies such as progressive taxation, where the rich are taxed more heavily than the poor, and social safety nets, such as welfare programs and unemployment benefits, to protect the most vulnerable members of society.
The history of economic progressivism dates back…

Is it the government's role to regulate businesses to protect the environment, even if it means lower profits for those businesses?
@9H9V9D46mos6MO
I think there has to be a middle ground, because on one hand big corporations can take that hit, smaller businesses would probably be the most harmed.
@9HCMHRQ6mos6MO
Yes. Many businesses cannot be trusted with environmental protection, and the government should be able to regulate them.
@9HCKSZV6mos6MO
Yes, because without our environment remaining healthy and unpolluted, we will deal with enduring issues that prevent us from further growth and advancement as a society due to health issues, resources being used up, and our environment being destroyed.
@9H7RVCD6mos6MO
Gov't should stay out of businesses unless relevant. It wouldn't make sense if the gov started controlling a restaurant full of its own tax payers. Who probably wouldn't be happy. The only regulations gov should be doing is "Wages" and maybe be a bit more strict on sanitation, employee safety, basic importance's.

How important do you think it is for everyone to have the same access to education, regardless of their family's income?
I believe it is extremely important to ensure that the majority of the population is well educated and has equal access to said education regardless of income.
@9KJPGFN3mos3MO
I don’t agreed that everybody needs to attend college. There are tons of different ways to make money
@9KFTXM73mos3MO
I believe its important for everyone to have the same opportunity for education
@9KFNJ7VRepublican3mos3MO
i belive tha the current system allows for equal opportunity
@9KFNQBV3mos3MO
I think it is important for everyone to have an equal access to education
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would free access to all levels of education affect your choice in pursuing your passions?
@9KFN8R43mos3MO
I would be able to pursue the career I've always wanted to pursue.
@9KFNDCW3mos3MO
It would help a lot not just for me, but for others as well.
@9KFNN6V3mos3MO
It would make it a lot easier. A lot of people can't pursue what they want to because it's so expensive.
@9KFN52X3mos3MO
Man I don't know any of this hippie stuff, give them less schooling for all i care
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How does the idea of equal access to healthcare for all make you feel about the society you live in?
@9KFPWMY3mos3MO
I believe everyone should have equal access to healthcare if we truly want to help people and provide care to those who need it.
@9KFNCPY3mos3MO
I think this is a good thing for people with health problems and debilities.
@9KFN6ZR3mos3MO
Makes me wish we had equal access to healthcare for all.
@9KFN5MVIndependent3mos3MO
It makes me feel like we are giving less fortunate people a chance for once.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Would it make you more or less competitive if you knew that your basic needs would always be covered by government safety nets?
@9JQ5SGF4mos4MO
I think that it wouldnt change my mentality because I hope I will be above and not need my basic needs covered
@9JQ5RZF4mos4MO
I think that it wouldn't change my mentality because I want to achieve what I want to achieve which is more than what covers my basic needs.
Put ease and worry about making sure I have enough money or support if the government provided my basic needs.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would you feel about a society where public transportation is excellent but personal vehicle taxes are higher?
@9KCLDV23mos3MO
not sure really...there may be some who agree, some who may not be happy.
@9KCL6PW3mos3MO
i would feel as if its unfair, people shouldnt pay more for driving in their own vehicle
@9KCL6G8Women’s Equality3mos3MO
Just because you're able to afford a personal vehicle doesn't mean that you should pay more in taxes for it
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How would you feel about a policy that redistributes unused houses to the homeless, potentially changing the dynamics of real estate investment?
I think that is a good idea; everyone deserves to have a safe home to sleep in.
@9JDSKK8Constitution4mos4MO
Our constitution is based upon freedom, what you propose is illegal appropriation of private property
@9JC6Z5L5mos5MO
I think it's a good idea that the homeless should use unused houses because they shouldn't sleep in cold, frizzy, snowy, and rainy nights.
@9JC7F6MLibertarian5mos5MO
I don’t think giving unused homes to the homeless is a good idea. It is supporting lazy behavior to give them something they didn’t earn. The housing market for working individuals would also sky rocket causing homes only to be affordable for the rich.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How might the promise of debt-free higher education change your approach to choosing a career or pursuing your passion?
@9JKX6K84mos4MO
I could choose a career in the medical or law field because the expenses would not be as great.
@9JKWZ8D4mos4MO
it would not change my approach to choosing a career
@9JKWSHYRepublican4mos4MO
I would want to find a high oaying job beucase the tax would have to go upp
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
If a wealthy individual’s taxes ensured your access to a world-class education, would that change your perspective on wealth and responsibility?
@9JJNBZM4mos4MO
no because you should have to sacrifice to gain not someone else
@9JN9FYP4mos4MO
Automatically assuming an individuals success, ensures another’s failure, is a folly. Work hard and stay the course. If you graduate from high school, stay at a job, don’t have kids out of wedlock and get married. Your chances of landing in the middle class are extremely high.
@9JJN7KY4mos4MO
it does not because anyone can become wealthy with the right choices and doesn't always need education to do so
@9JJMZC8Independent4mos4MO
People who make more money have big egos, and have barely responsiblity.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
If you knew your favorite products were made ethically and workers were paid fairly, would you mind paying more?
@9HTLV545mos5MO
Yes I would mind paying more, the coverage of workers shouldn't be the consumers responsibility but rather the governments duty to protect its citizens from being take advantaged of.
@9HVVJTZ5mos5MO
workers should be paided fairly already forgien products where they use child labor we should boycott
@9HVTBYN5mos5MO
The cost of producing a product is often a great expense to a company that should be compensated by those who desire it, and not the government. More so if time was taken to make it well.
Yeah I would, but we should try to keep it as inexpensive as possible so people are able to afford it.
@9HTLGWZ5mos5MO
I would rather pay more for a product that is ethical than pay less for one that isn't
